What are the feeding instructions for a dog weighing 13 pounds?

I have two dogs, one 11 lbs. and one 13 lbs. I feed them twice a day. They have been on this dry dehydrated kangaroo for several years. I usually heat up about 1 cup of water in the microwave and put about 3 big scoops of the kangaroo into the water. It expands quite a bit and you can always add more kangaroo or more water to get the consistency you want. The directions on the box say for a small dog 1/2 to 1 cup  warm water with the same amount of the dry dehydrated kangaroo. Good luck--hope your dog loves it as much as mine do!

Can you dog get used to this food? Mine eats raw, but this is nothing but crumbs.

I have two Belgians and a Pom, and they love this food.  I mix it with warm water and then mix a little premium kibble with it to give it a little more texture, and they all love it.  You could also put some cooked veggies in to give more texture - I do that also.  I only feed one meal a day with this and the second meal is another raw product, Instinct frozen raw or Addiction freeze dried raw.  With enough variety, I'm pretty sure they are getting the right stuff.  Marty in Juneau

In what form does this food come in? Is it in patty form or loose powder?

Hi David, It comes in loose form with some meat chunks. Basically it's similar to most granola cereals for humans in terms of appearance. You can sprinkle it or wet it down/heat it like a paste for a nice mix/gravy.  It's fairly expensive so I actually stopped using it & switched to Nupro for a vitamin powder (that can become a gravy). As of right now, Addiction is the only Kangaroo food & I do recommend for dogs with severe allergies. Please note that as of recently: California Natural's Kangaroo & Red Lentil food (not Addiction) went on recall. Both of my bulldogs got sick as a result -- so I stopped using California Natural foods. So that makes Addiction the only brand option. I do recommend this food but have currently stopped using it. It also isn't sold in NYC stores, making things very difficult price wise for us.

Where is this product made... The label looks like Chinese

It's a product of New Zealand. There is absolutely no Chinese lettering anywhere on the box. Our dog had awful skin allergies and was almost bald until we switched vets. She was correctly diagnosed with specific protein allergies & put on a kangaroo meat diet. The Addiction dehydrated Outback Kangaroo Feast has been a big part of our dog's diet, along with Iams allergy skin formula dry food made with kangaroo. Our dog's fur has grown back and is thick & shiny. I'm not being paid for this review; this product has helped our dog tremendously and is made with no grain, fillers or artificial hormones.
