Nice and sharp, and peels well. The thicker handle fits in the hand better and has a good gripping surface, allowing you to peel more confidently when you hands start getting wet or goopy while peeling things. Blades are a good distance from the handle top, so the peels don't get caught on the peeler too easily.

While this peeler is made in China it is up to OXO quality standards. We have had one of these for as long as I can remember and periodically sharpen it to keep the performance like new. We got another to help peel all manner of things in the kitchen and to help keep 4-H kids busy when at our home for a cooking class.We are very happy with this peeler.

My old Zyliss peeler recently broke after many years of use. It was green in color and the handle was at an angle to the blade. I LOVED it - super sharp and made peeling a breeze. This peeler was nearly useless - the blade was not sharp and it was almost impossible to peel a carrot with.I ordered a set of two, figuring that I would eventually use both. I'm probably going to throw them both out and find something that works.What's really got me miffed is that the "old" model was so good and the "new" model is terrible. Why would you change from something that works to something that doesn't?

Works as described. Like the grip and better than the OXO one.

Most of the time it's just fine. But some carrots, specifically right-out-of-the-ground carrots, the flesh is to soft and it doesn't go well. 95% of the time, it's just dandy. The eye remover works great.

This peeler works and does what it should. Super sharp too. But, we replaced a ceramic peeler with this one and frankly, wish we’d stayed with ceramic. No rust issues or anything, just a good peeler that works and easy to hold.

I had a old model of same company for many years. Finally, it is dull and time to replace.I was expecting same or better quality from this newer model but I was wrong.This newer model has better handle but blade is not as sharp as older model and the angle is not right and it requires strange angle to peel. It doesn't glide well at all.it bothers so much that I am now thinking about buying another brand.

This used to be a great potato peeler. I have purchased this peeler about five times times now. I lost one in a move. I purchased 2 so my friend could help me when she came over to help with Thanksgiving dinner preparations. I purchased another to take back with me when we move overseas. And I think I purchased 2 more to give as gifts. And now I bought three more so my kids can help peel vegetables. Sadly, these last three do not peel very well. The angle is finicky to get them to peel at all. I don’t know what they changed, but I’m very sad that my favorite peeler is no longer my favorite peeler. Whatever they did to change the design of the blade angle, they need to change back. Until they do, I can no longer recommend this peeler.We stayed at a friend’s house lately, and they have an IKEA peeler that worked very well. I’ll have to try to find some of those instead, I guess. The oxo good grips peeler was okay, but not as good as the old Zyliss or the IKEA one. Sad day.

A Zyliss é uma das minhas marcas preferidas em utensílios de cozinha. Só que dessa vez, a ergonomia ficou a desejar. O modelo antigo era melhor. Esse, por ser achatado, ficou mais incômodo de segurar. Como só sei descascar legumes e frutas com ele resolvi arriscar e tentar me adaptar ao novo modelo. Vou precisar de um tempinho para me adaptar ao novo modelo e torço para que a Zyliss reavalie e volte com o modelo antigo.

Antes este era o melhor modelo, mas fiquei muito decepcionada, agora não é possível descascar nem uma cenoura!!

i like the way it works

Very easy to use, fool proof and good quality! Peels fruits and vegetables easily.

Not as sharp and effective as my previous Zyliss peeler which cost half as much. . Wouldn't buy again
