Great product - high quality - great price
What a difference in maintaining a constant voltage level with no more draw and dimming lights. My audio quality is 10x better with a deeper base from my SUB. Working flawless since install with NO ISSUES! Worked better than what a lot of the reviews stated.DEFINITELY A BUY!!!

Certainly worth the value
This capacitor certainly does the job and takes alot of stress off the battery and alternator likes it's supposed. I did have an issue with the first one they sent me, it turned out to be defective after only using it for about a month, but the vendor was easy to work with and sent me a new one along with paid postage to ship the defective one back. Overall, it wasa great product and a great experience.

Works for Amateur Radio also
I have a Ford F-150 with the 3.5l Ecoboost engine. This vehicle has the automatic stop/start "feature" that shuts the engine down at stops and restarts it when the foot is removed from the brake or if the battery needs charging or the AC needs to run for cooling or other reasons. It is supposed to save gasoline. It may do that, but it has some unfortunate side-effects. One of those is that my Icom IC-7100 can't take the voltage sag that happens when the engine starts. It will reboot. Ford did something with the built-in system so that continues to operate, so I knew a solution had to be available. This was the solution. I paired it with a Bridge Rectifier diode to ensure that the capacitor would be charged but not feed the power back to the battery when the engine starts. It provides the voltage stability that my radio needs. Now I don't have to remember to shut the auto stop/start off as the radio will happily continue to operate through those cycles. The capacitor will operate without the display. I did however connect a wire to the radio through the auxiliary connector's pin that has voltage when the radio is turned on. I use the same connection to power another device that is only active when the radio is turned on.The 2 Farad capacitor is likely way more than what was needed. However, it was available at a good price, being only a couple more dollars than the 1 Farad capacitor. It is rather large, but I have it located under the rear seat in the F-150 and it fits well there along with the other radio equipment. Bottom line is that I can recommend this for solving the radio reboot problem for those who have the same problem.

Great
Just what I needed

You get what you pay for.
The packaging is a horrendous nightmare designed to discourage returns. Typo instruction book pic with reversed polarity. LED and digits way too bright. Supplied charging 51 ohm resistor is too high value. Used 8 ohm 20 watt resistor and it charged correctly.Otherwise ok.Voltmeter is accurate and useful. It was holding 11 volts when I unpacked it so its probably a capacitor. If youre a ham or electronics tech this is acceptable. If not, spend more and get a more coherent manual and parts kit.3 stars cuz it was inexpensive.

Awesome Capacitor
The media could not be loaded. Don't listen to any of these reviewers stating that it's not a super/ultra-cap (which the product states its just a capacitor, nothing more) or the ones stating it doesn't last long and such. Chances are they either misused it or installed it improperly. I've had two of these 3.5uf capacitors providing supplementary power to two 1600watt amps, that's one cap per amp, I've had no issues. Fully charged they each hold about 14.7v, during standard music playing like using the radio tell drop to about 11.5v-12.5v, during heavy usage like playing heavy bass music it has only gone as low as 9.5v-10.5v. When my car is off, I can do heavy usage for about 45min to an hour and 1.5 - 2 hours of standard play. As soon as the car comes on, the recharge is instant. both caps have a low voltage tone which comes on when the voltage drops below 9v which I've tested by running both amps off of one cap. All in all, these caps are great for beginners or just those who don't have big systems. Of course, if you plan on going big, then I would recommend getting a super/ultra cap which usually looks like standard car batteries. But if you have limited space or you don't have the need for such high-end applications, these caps are the way to go.
