I like that this kit gives you the short brush if you just need to clear the opening, but you also have the long spring-cable to run all the way down the drain passage. The brush seems to be securely crimped to the end of the cable. In my case the brush fit with some resistance but I could feed it down the passage for about 2 feet or so and the it got tighter. For fear of getting it stuck in tgere I backed out and tested the drain with a bottl of water. It ran through smoothly. This is important to do once in a while. I had my leather interior get soaked one time when the drains were clogged and there was dripping all around the perimeter of the sunroof! This is an important service.

So I have a rain barrel with a spigot at the bottom. Occasionally that spigot gets stopped up with debris or some algae or something. I would try to find a small but strong and flexible stick to clear it. This is exactly what I needed! This is also one of those tools you don’t want to go buy when you need it. This is a tool you want on hand when you need it.This cleaning tool is perfect and I expect I will be using it on other clogged drains as well. The long snake version is perfect for those long and deep clogs. Depending on how large your drain is, this may be too small.For me this was perfect and worked great!
