I received this as a gift to use when camping. Due to the time of year and weather so far I have used it to brighten my room in place of a bedside lamp which it does beautifully and looks fantastic.I then used it as Xmas lights which again it is perfect for and lasted well.I’ve since bought a second one to use in my Micro camper.An excellent product. I highly recommend it

The media could not be loaded. I really like the Trekology brand. They sell useful items that are of great quality. These retractable string lights are no different.You get 30ft of cable with warm white and soft rib coloured lights along the length on a rechargeable base that doubles up as a winder and storage case, a camping light and an EXTREMELY bright torch.The unit is easy to use, you can use it fully wound up or just pull the lights out to the desired length. The string has a hook in the end for easy hanging on a string or thin branch. The charging case has a pull out handle also with a hook that doubles up as the winding mechanism.The lights work exactly as described with short presses of the power button to control the camping and string light functions and a longer press to activate the LED torch light which has bright or blindingly bright settings allowing the unit to be used as a torch.The only reasons I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars are:The light/string comes with various settings but you can’t do the. With both the warm white and the run lights. So for example you can have a constant white light but the run can only be used flashing or slowly coming on and off. Conversely you don’t get the slow on/off with the warm white. It would have been good to have all light pattern options in both colours.My second gripe is that the LED torch is super super bright. This is not an issue in itself. It’s a great torch…. But the on off switch is located right next to the LED. It’s literally impossible to see when the torch function is on without blinding yourself and potentially damaging your eyes. You have to feel for the button while aiming the light away from you.If the on/off switch was on the side of the unit it would be much easier and probably safer to use with the torch function.

I've put these light along the picture rail in the lounge, left the end accessible and out of sight, and charge the unit with a bank charger every few days. They are great, would recommend.

I was initially really pleased with these but the rubber on/off button started to fall into the housing then the actual on off button beneath it came away. Poor quality look elsewhere.

The media could not be loaded. These are perfect to take camping. The fairy lights are magical whether in warm white mode or colour mode. The large front white light is great if more light is needed. It can also be used as a torch to guide your way on a campsite and the rear has emergency lights with two torch modes and a strobing SOS light. There is a little hook on the end of the string lights that will catch on a branch or a rope etc and the main body has three strong magnets for attaching to a camper or car etc. The fairy lights last around 8 hours on a full charge and the set is recharged in less than two hours. There are two USB sockets, A and C and either can be used to charge the lights or as a power bank to charge phones etc. The design is really brilliant with everything slotting into the main body making the whole thing very compact.I love it and heartily recommend this very useful piece of camping kit.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very good attempt at some multi-functional camping lights. The design is pretty good with perhaps just one minor feature which needs considering.This is a string of coloured flashing fairy lights contained with a case that is also a separate camping light. Everything is controlled with a single button. The fairy lights are first to come on, toggling through warm white, flashing multi-coloured and then breathing multi-coloured. Next is the main camping light which is an array of Warm white LEDS which shine through the white diffuser on the front. This toggles through energy saver and full brightness.Just when you though you had enough lights on one device there is a surprise. If the button is given a long press a super bright LED fires up on the back. This can then be toggled through 2 brightness settings and a flashing mode. I can imagine this being useful as a path finder or general torch although the unit itself is not ergonomically designed to be held as such, it is a good compromise.The fairy lights can be unwound from the case and used to decorate your tent or whatever else you would like to decorate with fairy lights. There is a hook on the end to help with this. A handle on the back flips up to allow the lights to be cranked back into the case. My only suggestion for an improvement would be to have a flip up hook on this handle which better lends itself to hanging the unit inside a tent. There are also a set of magnets on the back in case you want to stick it on your car or fridge.There is a USB-C socket for charging but also a USB-A output. This actually adds a lot of value when put in the context of camping because the battery from the light can be used to give your phone a quick charge in an emergency.I really like this. It would really suit festival or family camping.
