I am taking an active role in my physical well being. I know how important fish oil is. I know it will be worth it. I take 3 per day as directed. There is no bad taste or smell when I take them. They are easy to swallow. The size seems large but don’t let that worry you. This is a value for the price. This is a very good quality. I also bought pill organizers to keep the large bottles off the counter. Very functional this way.

The bottle is a bit misleading, these are 1000mg fish oil capsules. A serving is 3 capsules which would equal 3000mg. It does say on the bottle the 3 capsules will equal about 900mg of omega-3 fatty acids if you have been prescribed for omega-3 vs fish oil. So if you are looking for 1000mg FISH OIL capsules these are a great deal. If you are really wanting 3000mg a day be prepared to swallow 3 of these and know this is less than a 2mo supply. That said, I like that it has been purified to eliminate the mercury. I actually got this for my dog who only needs 2000mg fish oil a day so this is fine for me. The capsules are the standard large size fish oil capsules. None were broken and the bottle did not have a strong fishy odor when opened.

This is my second bottle. I'm no seafood person, and don't eat any of it with the exception of tuna or codfish which I don't consume regularly either. These soft gels are the way to go. These soft gel pills are purified to eliminate mercury, are easy to take, do not smell, and do not upset my stomach. I'd recommend them.

The pharmaceutical industry standard is to tell the consumer how many milligrams are in each pill or capsule on the front of the container label. This is normally expressed as 250mg, 500mg, etc. Doctors Way Fish Oil uses large font to print 3000mg on the label with smaller font for the word "Serving". If one reads the fine print on the back, you will discover that it takes 3 pills to make one serving. Simple math: each capsule is 1000mg of fish oil. This is what the label on the front should say! I suspect this "3000mg" on the front of the label is intentionally designed to be misleading. As for me, I do not like the idea of having to read the fine print on the back of medicine labels to learn what I am really getting. Thus, I just will not purchase any more products from "Doctors Way".
