Not my favorite test type but they worked well, came quickly, and were a reasonable price when I was too sick to leave the house to get some from my local pharmacy.

After covid was great for follow up testing. Kind of expensive for peace of mind

I bought these tests when I had covid and ran out of the normal tests I buy. I figured most kits are similar and easy to use, I was wrong. Although these are the same setup as most, they require you to squeeze the test tube multiple times. I'm a 35yo healthy woman, and was shocked by how hard the tubes were to squeeze. I would not recommend these for anyone with decreased hand strength, carpal tunnel, arthritis, or elderly or anyone really. It also has a plastic piece over the test tube that is hard to get off. The design of this kit is weirdly complicated and I've never experienced anything like. I won't purchase again.

Bought this test after running out of "free" tests from other sources. This is the only one I found on Amazon that approaches reasonable pricing per test. Also, I read recent commentary that this manufacturer received approval for the covid+flu combo tests, so they were already higher on my radar and I look forward to being able to purchase reasonably priced rapid combo tests.The reviews regarding how challenging this test is to use are accurate - the ridges actually hurt your fingers when squeezing hard!First, unlike most tests of this style with foil seals, this reagent capsule uses a little plastic cap with a pull-back flap. This would be fine except you need to pull the cap straight up and off, not back at an angle, so the little tab makes no sense and has you pressing or pulling awkwardly.Then, again, like most other tests of this style where you swirl the swab in the reagent for a while, this one has you squeeze and "plunge" it for 15 seconds. This would not be a big deal, except it is impossible to squeeze the ridged plastic capsule hard enough to get a good squeeze on the swab. I'm not a guitar player, but I also don't have weak fingers. If you can't get a good squeeze on the swab, then it does make you question the accuracy of the test. Those ridges on the capsule dig into your fingers, and it hurts. Terrible design.Lastly, you are instructed to squeeze "all" of the liquid out of the capsule onto the cartridge, a minimum of 5 drops. This was less of a problem except after 4 drops the last drop was like blowing a bubble and barely made it.The plastic cartridge is cheap and doesn't use any of the spare space for instructions like the number of drops like some other brands do, or even using it for a company logo, but I guess I can't complain here given the price.Extra star for the graphics designer who stuck an anthropomorphic covid virus on the package that is wearing a corona-crown. Minus a star for the Amazon shipping that stuffed the boxes into a padded envelope that crushed all the boxes and popped the clear stickers that are supposed to seal the boxes off half of them.
