Works great to add gaming sound to monitors with no speakers
Wanted to play my nintendo switch on my computer desk ising a computer monitor which has hdmi but no speakers. I have a sound setup that can take rca inputs so i used an mini jack to rca and plugged in. Reset the plugs in my asis rog mini power dock and bam. All worked. Got sound out. Easy setup. A isb cable for power and this even handles 2 inputs so i can swith back to my pc by hitting a button on top of the unit. I tried other lower cost units but they failed to work so i went with this higher resolution version and it works great. Only thing is i wish it came with an hdmi cable and a sound out cable which some other brands have. Other then that its fine, no complaints.

Works with PS5, Nintendo Switch, into Elgato HD60X
Works to run my PS5 and Nintendo Switch to my Elgato HD60X without having to change PS5 HDMI settings is you know what I mean. If you have issues, try and make sure you are working with the Elgato plugged into the computer with OBS or your other software open; you may need to restart the capture card and the splitter both a number of times before all the settings are aligned. Also be sure you are using a USB C with the proper 5V, because any of the fancier power bricks may not negotiate power correctly and the splitter just acts dead, but with the right power supply, it works fine. After fiddling with the switches (I believe I have the middle of three switched away from its default location?), passthrough is working properly! This same brand's Splitter (same price, 69.99) also has the same function! So, decide whether you need a splitter (1 in 2 out) or a switcher (2 in 1 out) and use whichever will suit your use case best!

So far so good (Z906)
I have the Logitech Z906 speakers & I wanted to use them with my PS5 slim (switch too). Come to find out the ps5 doesn’t support optical. I wanted the z906 to output Dolby & dts. So I did some research & stumbled upon these audio extractors. Everything works perfect know with optical. The Z906 decode light turns on for the Dolby features. It also turns on for pcm.Reason I gave it a 4 is because there’s been two times where I wasn’t getting a video single & had to unplug it a few times for it to work.Currently it is working great. I’ll update if things change

Works with AppleTV 4K and xbox
Needed to extra the audio for my desk audio system. Need to keep the 4k 60hz HDR for the AppleTv and this unit works without issue. It passes the 4K HDR 60Hz to my monitor and extra a toslink signal to my active bookshelf speakers.

Have to hard reboot daily
I don't know what's going on with this switch but everyday I have to unplug it for good 30 seconds but then plug it back in before it will let any audio go out to my soundbar. Check the settings on my devices. Nothing should be causing that. I've gone straight from my devices to the TV. Bypassing the switch and the sound works fine on the TV. Low quality overpriced
