This is a pack of 60 capsules of a probiotic supplement from Metagenics. The capsules are individually packed in blister packs. The capsules are made out hydroxypropyl methylcellulose so they do not contain gelatin. However the packaging doesn't state whether this supplement is suitable for vegetarians (the product listing does label it as a vegetarian product however it would be nice to have this stated on the packaging). I like that they at least specify which strain of Bifidobacterium lactis this probiotic contains.The box says that this supplement is suitable to take in pregnancy. The packaging also says that it contains vitamin A, which would make it not suitable in pregnancy. However, the ingredients list reveals that the probiotic does not contain vitamin A in the form of retinol but it contains beta-carotene which is a vitamin A precursor.

This is a great gut supplement that is designed to help you create a better microbiome. I haven't noticed any effects from taking it so far but it has got a good range of bacteria so it might take a bit more time.

Easy to take with no noticeable flavour.I took one and the same day I had some unpleasant abdominal pain, so I didn't take anymore. I can't say for sure that this is the cause, but I didn't want to take the risk. Even if it was the cause, that might just be due to a personal sensitivity.Given that I only took one, I can't offer any additional insight.

To be honest I have tried a number of these probiotics over time, and have helped me restore my previous gut health. My sister in law has recently had an IBS diagnoses and co incidentally also had courses of antibiotics for urinary tract infections.My Sister in law started taking these capsules and has already noticed an improvement in her symptoms regarding the gas and bloating.She confirms they are easy to take and swallow and have no taste. She takes them in the morning on an empty stomach. This is not the cheapest product out there but the company appears to have been going since 1981.However we do not see any claims of third party testing for heavy metals and other impurities (like so many companies) however it is produced in Belgium, so will fall under EU regulations which can be a bonus. Rather unsettling though is the "trust pilot" score of 3 from about 6 reviews (very small sample)Will update after the course has finished but so far only positive news to report from Sister in Law.
