Built for speed
I wanted a smaller knife for whittling on the go, a knife that can easily fit in my pocket and my hand. My Sarge knife just arrived, and I’m already pleased with what I see and feel. It’s a sweet little knife. Nice looking. The little box it comes in is a personal touch; I appreciate receiving something that’s not hermetically sealed in unbreachable clear plastic.I like the blade shapes and their sizes, and I like how the knife feels comfortable in my hand. I couldn’t be more pleased by my first impression. I can’t wait to take it with me for whittling on the go.

Good folding carver.
Sarge Knife model SK-10 carving knife. Made in China, 440 stainless steel, wooden slabs. Main blade 1 1/8" long x 7/16" wide x .070" tapering to .030" thick at the point. Small blade 1" long x .215" wide x .070 tapering to .035 thick at the point. Closed length is 3 3/8".Blades open and close smoothly with snap to the open/closed position. Fit is excellent, finish is good, smooth, not polished. Moderately sharp from the factory but will need to be sharpened, honed and stropped to do any serious carving. I sharpened the large blade with a minimal edge taper, small blade with moderate taper. This knife seems more suited for easy chip carving and relief carving, some whittling, blades are too short for some carving. I have a chip carving practice basswood board that I tried a 1" segmented circle to try a little chip carving with a different knife that didn't work out so well, after I sharpend this knife I tried large blade on the six to twelve o'clock segments (see photo) and the chips came out well, 1,2,3 o'clock with the small blade, fair result, 4 and 5 o'clock were with another knife and little skill. This is a well made knife. For most whittling and general carving you might want a different knife, but some whittling, some relief carving and some simple chip carving this is a useful folder that you can carry and store safely.

Complete junk
What's sad is they actually credit this company to a veteran. I had low expectations at the price point. But... The scale was cracked in two places. I figured it would need sharpening. But... The one blade was ground completely uneven. The good point is at that price I didn't throw away too much money! Keep searching if you're looking for a decent low end knife.

Disappointed
I had high hopes for this knife after watching some reviews on Youtube. First it seems well built how ever it is very small and extremely uncomfortable to hold due to the 2nd blade. If you have small hands and wear a glove then this knife may work for you.

Great gift idea!
I bought two of these knives for my grandsons for a Christmas gift. They both like to work with their hands, so I thought they would like to learn how to whittle. Along with the knives, I have also purchased each a book on learning how to whittle and protective gloves. As Christmas hasn't yet arrived and I haven't opened the packages, I will update you later on the size, quality, etc.

Nicc little carving knife
Nice carving knife to carry in your pocket. The blades are small as a carving knife should be. Of course the blades need to be honed to your needs. It is solid and well built. I would rather always use a solid blade carving knife but this one is good to always have with you. It is the right size in length. It is tough on the hands as you would expect for a pocket knife, but the two of us will eventually break each other in.
