Great looks with added protection at a great price
Very happy with this purchase. As others have said the bolts are shorter than what’s on my 2008 v star 650 classic so luckily I was able to reuse the originals with minor problems. My bolts were pretty rusted so I hate that I had to reuse them and I was very careful not to strip them but for the price of the bars it wasn’t a deal breaker. I can always get replacements from Yamaha if need be. They are heavy duty and solid. The bars are a little small and sit close to the clutch and brake peddles as others have said but it doesn’t effect me any with how I brake or shift and I have size 14 shoes. If you’re on the fence I’d say get them.

Good quality for the money, and not to large. It doesn't affect lean angle on tight corners. Good shot too mount some aux lighting.

They broke I had to weld 1 and then it broke again

Easy to install
This is a simple install it uses the bottom bolt of the frame near the engine on higj and low sides and the low bolt on the footpeg floor board mounts

Great for the money
Nice basic crash bars for the VStar 650. They bolted on without any major issues. I did have to use different bolts for the upper part of the bars. The included upper bolts were actually shorter than the factory ones. The included lower bolts were longer and fit fine.

Bolts right up. Not quite wide enough.
I like that they bolt right up. However the they aren't too wide.. they hardly go pass the floorboards.
