Give it a try... it works great!
At first I couldn't figure out how this was supposed to work but after a few months gave it another try when I was sewing very long ½" strips of fabric (to represent lead caulking in a "stained glass window" in fabric). As sewing straight seems so easy but is actually anything but, this thing is really useful. (For the equal minded uninitiated folks like me: The little flap thing goes on TOP of the fabric... DUH!!).
