The Pro Ears Ultra 30 MRI Kit comes from a line of specially designed hearing protection to function safely in an MRI environment. The Ultra 30 is an MRI-safe earmuff that provides 30 dB of noise attenuation to protect MRI patients from the loud knocking sounds in the scanner. ANSI specification S3.19-1974 requires patients undergoing MRI to be provided with noise reduction devices offering a minimum of 29 db Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). The Ultra 30 is one of the few protectors that meet this standard without the need to wear additional earplugs under the headset. The headset features viscoelastic ear seals and a padded headband for additional comfort. It is compatible with various manufacturers' sanitary stretch headphone covers. All MRI-safe products are tested for magnetic properties. Our MRI-safe earmuffs are made completely of nonferrous plastic and composite materials that are invisible to MRI scanners. In addition to the headset, the Ultra 30 MRI Kit comes with a convenient storage bag and two sets of earplugs. Excessive noise can be harmful, cause anxiety, and may even lead to hearing loss.
