Simply amazing š! totally worth reading
The best book I have read so farā„ļøā„ļø. It is much much more than a romance book. Every character in this book has equal importance. This book made me cry. I love the Father daughter relationship potraied in this book. At the same time I love wren's and calla's mother's relationship. Don't forget about Jonah. Love the slow burning romance. He is so perfect š can't wait to read the sequel.

Although not great but an emotional read
3.5 stars!I picked it up having read only raving reviews on the same. While I wonāt say I was disappointed, I can definitely say it did not meet my expectations for sure. Honestly, I wonāt even say it was a romance book.Calla Fletcher is a city girl. She was 2 when her mother left Alaska unable to handle the isolation and rural lifestyle there. Calla is 26 when she gets a call from Alaska informing her that her father is battling an illness and his days might be numbered. Reluctantly Calla makes a decision of visiting her father who was absent throughout her life and did not bother to stay in contact with her. She struggles to adjust to her life in Alaska and the grumpy, brooding pilot Alaskan pilot Jonah does not make it easy for her.I feel I would have probably enjoyed this more if I had read it purely as fiction rather than romance. This was a story about a man who never voices his feelings and prefers to avoid conflict at any cost - just like Calla. This was a story about a father and daughter. It was about not holding onto grudges and knowing that it is ok to take the first step. I really did like Callaās Dad, Wren. He is soft-spoken, introverted and hesitant in expressing his feelings. It really did irritate me that he did not make much effort to stay connected to his daughter. I appreciate the fact that the author did not try to justify it. He was just being himself and it is clear throughout the story that he has many regrets in life. I also liked Calla. She really makes an effort to adjust to her life in Alaska. It did irritate me that a lot of blame was put on her for not making an effort to connect with her Dad! Hello, what about the father? Why is he given the free pass? Also, Jonahās attitude towards Calla didnāt really help. His surly attitude towards her, preconceived notions, and making fun of her made me grit my teeth. While I did like slow burn and angst between them I just didnāt feel any connection between them! All in all, an emotional read - I did shed a tear or two! I doubt whether I will pick the next book in the series but I think you should definitely give it a go. It just might be the book for you.

5 star read
This was my first K.A. Tucker book and I was immediately swept away. Itās a 5 star read for me because I loved the story and fell immersed into the Alaskan landscape. This book seriously gave me all the feels and I bawled my eyes out. Itās an enemies to lovers romance not to be missed. Moreover, thereās so much to love about this book; the Alaskan setting, the realistically flawed characters, the emotional story. I immediately finished it and had to order the next one, Wild at Heart.
