Very well made backpack.
This is a durable back pack with a green color that I like. I have taken this on hikes and as a carry on bag when flying where it’s size proves convenient. Straps are comfortable .Would have liked another external pocket…otherwise very happy.

Great everyday backpack
I initially wanted a larger size of a G 500 canvas backpack I have from Fjallraven, but they don't make what I was looking for. So instead, I chose this one. Some initial thoughts: the size is perfect. I use this for everything from hiking to traveling to going to work. I can easily fit my laptop, books, lunch, a sweater or jacket, and my usual wallet, glasses, etc and it's still not completely stuffed. At the same time it doesn't look or feel bulky. It's also super comfortable to wear. The backpack sits pretty high up on your shoulders which means you can better support the weight of it. Third, it's definitely water resistant. I've carried this in pouring rain and had no issues with anything inside getting wet. I imagine if you're hiking in a downpour, some water might eventually seep through, but it would take a long time. The pocket at the top is convenient for stashing a couple of quick access items and the interior pocket fits my cell phone perfectly. Otherwise, it's just a big interior pocket with a laptop sleeve. That works for me. The other thing I love is the size of the side pockets for water bottles. They're big and can accommodate lots of different water bottles and there's a strap so that you tighten it around the water bottle to secure it. The design is simple, sleek and hard-wearing. I'm pretty loyal to Fjallraven and this is why: they make solid, long lasting quality stuff. Very happy with this one.

Love it
Perfect. Well built and durable. It’s proven to be the perfect size for long backcountry day hikes and ultralight overnighters

Better than my first impressions
Started out disliking this pack because the padding is thin on your back and the semi-rigid frame is very flexible. Way I change my mind.Loaded up the back with about 10 pound of gear and 3 pints of water and it handled that load well. After the first half mile I kind of forget I had it on.Side pockets can handle almost any water bottle I tried. It works great with Nalgene Oasis Canteen. If the bottle you are using is narrow and long you may want to secure the top with the backs compression strap since only half the packs water pocket is elasticWorkmanship of the back is flawless. I saw no loose threads and the pack material seems fine.Price is very reasonable for this pack for what you get. Only change I would like to see is add a lanyard to the top pocket for keys.

Extremely Dissapointed
After doing quite a bit of research into what backpack to replace my worn out 12 year old college bag that I take to work, I settled on fjallraven. Their products appeared to be well made and being an outdoor line I figured I would be able to use it for hiking and camping as well which was an added bonus. I liked that this pack was larger than my old one and was water resistant as well. I will start by saying that I loved this backpack initially. It sits nicely on your shoulders and distributes weight well - barely feels like you are wearing it. That said, after only using it to carry a lunch bag, my coffee Thermos and a sweatshirt from my car to work and back (maybe 5 lbs max and 100 yards to the building) for a couple months, the shoulder strap is starting to rip off. Extremely dissapointed at the build quality especially from such a well known brand and at this price point. When you buy a backpack for over $100 you expect it will last for years and years, not 2 months. To top it off, the "Lifetime Warrenty" on Fjallraven products does not cover rips or any "damage caused by the user" and will not cover items purchased anywhere besides at an authorized retailer, so don't bother trying to get it replaced if you get a poorly made lemon like mine. This is the first negative review I have ever written in my life, but wow am I dissapointed.

Not enough pockets
I always need more pockets to store my stuff. Only one pocket was definitely not enough

Sturdy backpack
Ordered this for my grandson. He loved the color and how big it was. Just what he needed for his computer and books.
