Excellent
Can't fault this knife--the workmanship is first-rate, and the design is excellent. I really like the lock button, it keeps the blade perfectly stolid and is ambidexterous. One of my personal tests of good knife design is, can I hold it vertically and flip the blade open to a solid lock--no problem with this knife. The handle has provides a good grip, and the skeletonized feature is nice, the knife feels light and well balance. All in all, a very good knife.Followup, 7/26/23 This knife has become my first choice for edc and I'm even more impressed with the overall quality and design. The engineering that went into the one-hand opening is not just clever, it's sound design. I'm just a little puzzled how they sell a knife of this quality for $40.

Smooth open and close. Fidgit worthy. Good sharpness. Nice spear/tsurugi shape!
Comes with a nice and minimalist box, the knife is inside a bag inside a good pouch. The design of the flippers makes for ease of a snappy open. The axis/Crossbar lock is smooth and easy. I can easily close with one hand. Easy for me to fidgit. I love the long spear point blade. I wish the flippers looked more like guards on a fighting knife but that would possibly slow down the opening. To me, it's the small things making it worth the price. A deep carry clip if one so desires. I love it. YMMV.

Solid, sleek, but mostly a toy. Not sharp
It arrived neatly packed in a nice cardboard box with a thick nylon snap-closure belt sheath. No documentation (no warranty statement, no information, no customer service number, etc)After looking it over, I took it apart for a full clean + lube. The pivot screw is T8 and the body screws are T6. All of the parts are well-machined with rounded edges. This knife has many good modern features like an internal stop pin, a ball-bearing-washer pivot, and a counter-sunk low-profile pocket clip. The black semi-polished G10 handle scales have a nice finish. The pivot is held in place by a D-shaped cutout in the metal frame (this is a good thing). The hourglass-shaped metal pins between the metal frame panels can spin in place if you try to disassemble the knife (this is a bad thing)The locking mechanism (google "axis lock diagram") entirely relies on two very thin bent wires - either one snapping would render the knife useless. I mention this because the manufacturer is unknown & there is no warranty or parts replacements. This listing will probably not exist in two weeks. So, this is a toy and you cannot rely on it as a tool or expect it to last a very long time.As a toy, it's great! Fun to open and close. Not too heavy. Very clean aesthetically & symmetrical from top to bottom. The blade was not sharp when it arrived, and was unpleasant to sharpen in a way that makes me think the metal is not hardened properly. The knife feels like one solid unit when locked open, which is a mark of quality manufacturing. It can be opened by pressing on the blade's tabs or by depressing the lock and swinging the blade out. You can also swing it closed smoothly with just a tiny bit of practice, and it's pretty fun & makes a nice sound.I have sharpening equipment & don't mind using it, but anyone else would probably be pretty annoyed to spend $40 on a pocket knife and have it arrive dull.Cold Steel, Petrified Fish, and Civivi make many knives in that price range & arrive razor sharp and have great build quality and materials, along with warranties & customer service. If you need a tool, buy one of those other brands. If you want a toy and you have $40, this is pretty fun to play with.

manual close, a bit assisted of an open
The media could not be loaded. excellent knife. very well made. and light. even though the handle is smoothed down fiberglass you get a really good grip. i think a good feature they should have added was a reversible pocket clip. there’s one on it but it’s not reversible as the knife it’s self is made to be ambidextrous. but other than that a very sharp knife and you could sharpen the other end but i’d have it professionally done.

Rusting after a month of ownership
It's a beautiful knife, strong lock and spring mechanism. Donest come fully shaped, I understand that's for safety purposes so I'm not complaining.UPDATE: ITS ALREADY RUSTINGI've owned this knife a little over a month now and it's already rusting, I don't even use it in water, nor do I live in a humid area. It got a little wet once and I dried it off quickly. Can't return or replace because it's a few days past return date and theyll charge a "late and restock fee". I have no clue what to do to get this fixed because there is no way to contact seller. Crap mettal and they know it, that's why it has a small return window.

Tool Grade Steel Is Very Okay
Cleverly designed stilettos such as these are never available in a proper knife grade steel at ANY price.D2 is a very good tool grade steel that will hold a fine edge that is easy to maintain but it will take some work to sharpen it to your liking first. The edge out of the box is acceptable but you might want to ask an expert for some help. It should also be noted that all photos indicate a hollow grind which is not what I received. Blade geometry is certainly not ideal.I do not find the locking mechanism to be particularly convenient or pleasant to the touch but it is ambidextrous and I can get used to it. It works reliably. The handle scales appear to be G2 plastic with an exceptionally pleasant simulated wood effect that has a very subtle grip to it. Combined with the cutouts that resemble that of a balisong my expectations were exceeded. Very nice.Perfect knife for somebody who knows exactly what they're looking for with extra deep pocket carry and legal in almost every state. Beautiful design with just a few problems, four stars.update: wait til you see what happens when you lube the bearings, loosen springs, and add some loctite, what a gem! If only the blade had a hollow grind like in the pictures it would be five stars for sure
