Overpriced and overnarketed gimmick
As a keen cook I like quality knives kept sharp so am always on the lookout for a better sharpener. Unfortunately the Horl 2 is a triumph of aesthetics over function. Yes it looks lovely and the concept is an interesting one. The sad facts though are, after several hours experimenting on different knives and different approaches all I succeeded in doing was dulling my best knives. Put simply: it doesn't work very well. Save your money and stick to more traditional methods
