JBL SilicatEx rapid, Prevents diatoms by removing silicate

Arrived swiftly. Now I'm still waiting for the results. It might take a few days.

Not sure if this has worked on its own or with the phosphate removal pad!! either way, my diatoms have been completely removed. No more brown smudges on my glass, plants and rocks.

This stuff did work for me, it did eventually get a hold of my brown algae. took about 4 to 6 weeks. I am now noticing re growth again though but there was enough in the box to put another lot in my filter

Worked well. I added 50g to the filter of my biorb and the diatoms were gone in a few days.

Just received and put this in the bag supplied. and between layers of filter wool in the external filter. Never used it before but caution is needed... best to be sure to wash really thoroughly, there's a very fine powder in with the granules and it takes a lot of washing out. I expect I will update. UPDATE 17 days later -- no live plants, only plastic. Not overstocked, powerful external filter with various media - including this still, which so far has not made much difference if any.

Yet another disappointing product ! After trying theses I went to chemi pure blue which actually did the job of removing the silicate!!!
