No instructions or screws. But very good!!!
Exactly what I was looking for. It was a very well made product. There was only a short video on how to put it together. (Fine once the frame was worked out.) Needs 12 1&1/2 inch screws. Supplied by you, the buyer. Comes as bound planks. It is heavy but it is quality wood. I intend to buy another one. It is good. Only lost a star because it came with no written instructions and screws, which it does need. 👍

Impressed
Very sturdy build - bought two but some pieces were damaged but all redit to Primprose they promptly sent out another complete unit free of charge - looking forward to years of composting!

No instructions or screws provided
It is a sturdy and adequate design; looks good. Took a while to figure out; the photos on amazon were helpful. The sidebars weren't predrilled and no screws were provided: if I had wanted to build from scratch I could have done; I bought this flat pack to save time! I didn't really want to be fiddling about with screws. The packaging wasn't too good; if there had been a pack of screws they may well have fallen out.Anyway, it looks nice and blends into the space.

Nice but wobbly
Compost bin arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. Now that I have assembled it, I can say that it was easy to manage, even without any instructions. I like the appearance and it functions optimally although it is not as stable as other Lacewing products.

Ideal compost bin
I ordered a pair of these compost bins to replace a homemade bin that had rotted away. I had considered making another from scratch, but the coat of wood alone was not much less than these. I wanted a bin that could be easily unloaded, the removal slats on these were just what I was looking for. They were deliver within 24 hours. Well wrapped with everything needed and all in good order. Putting them together was quick and easy once you work out how the first layer is assembled. After that they just slot together. The wood was damp, but not an issue for a compost bin that will spend its life outdoors filled with muck. A rubber mallet was useful for tapping the joints together securely. Overall, excellent value for money.

no instructions
the product had no instructions, nor any easily available instructions on the net. I put it together, seems ok, could be better.

Don't waste your money.
Don't waste your money. This is poor quality and the side bars that you have to attach to the other bits of wood were too short so, having paid for a composter that should be six 'slats' high, ours is only five. They couldn't even be bothered to pre drill the holes for the screws to attach the side supporting bars or planks. I can't say if the wood has had any preservative treatment applied but it doesn't look nor smell as if it has so I don't expect it to last long. The instructions appear to have been photocopied so many times they are so faint as to be useless. The whole thing smacks of being thrown together and fits together poorly. I would think it cost about £5 to manufacture including the wood, if you have basic woodworking skills and tools make one yourself.

Very pleased.
Bought two. Arrived very quickly, but were a little damp from treatment so I laid the planks out overnight to settle.Fairly easy to put together, but I did use a few extra screws of my own. I also used a few shims at the open end to ensure an even spacing, most people probably won't have carpentry spacers lying around..Couple of months later everything is good and the removable bars come out easily still.Hopefully I'll remember to update after a year as to the survival rate!In use the removable front is excellent and makes for very easy turning. The bins are stable when I'm in there with a fork, even without the front bars,so pleased with that. Also I built a little roof for each one to keep the rain off over winter, looks much nicer than a tarp.Given the price of other wooden compost bins these are amazing. I'm also fairly sure that you couldn't make one at home for cheaper as the planks would cost more than this did
