The Castafiore Emerald: The Official Classic Children’s Illustrated Mystery Adventure Series: 1 (The Adventures of Tintin)

As always, this Tintin story has fantastic artwork. All the action happens at Marlinspike rather than the usual exotic locations and I wondered if my son would enjoy it as much as the more 'adventurous' stories. However, it is very entertaining and it includes a very good lesson about not making assumptions about people because of their ethnicity, without labouring the point.

We now have the complete collection of Tin Tin, each one has stimulated a 10 year olds interest and desire to learn more and has also enhanced reading skills and an appreciation of oter cultures and languages. Brilliant for lock down and where appropriate home schooling.

As with all Herge’s books, amusing, and beautifully illustrated.

We chanced on some second hand Tintin books when our son was struggling learning to read. They were a great help. We are now buying copies for our grandchildren.

Pour ma part, je trouve que ce n'est pas le meilleur album de Tintin, mais on retrouve nos personnages favoris at home, envahis par la Castafiore et son staff, ambiance électrique autour d'un vol de bijoux, humour bon enfant, sympa.

My lil cousin brother wanted this book as he is a huge fan of Tin Tin and has read all the collections apart from the 2 I got from Amazon. After weeks of searching I was so happy to find both the books here at Amazon, so I got it gift wrapped with a lil message and it was delivered within 2 days. He was so excited to recieve it and the gift wrap was done very nicely. Brilliant book for young children to engage in.
