No batteries required. it is super easy to click and return to another lap. I do so many laps that I often forget what number I am on so this helps me. I don't need to think or keep a number in my head. If I stop to visit with someone I don't lose my number. It is small and goes with me now all the time when I swim. I have not dropped it in the water so I don't know if it is waterproof or not. It is small and fits easily in my hand. It is easy to read even with goggles on. It is capable of going into high numbers of four digits, but I will never need that high a counter. Super and just what I wanted

This clicker is so handy for my crocheting/knitting when keeping tabs on the number of rows I'm on for my big projects. This counter fits comfortably in my hand, the perfect size to hold while working. And it is quiet enough to not disturb others nearby if I am knitting/crocheting in public. The dial is easy to use and reset , and the numbers are accurately counted with minimal pressure/strain. Fantastic counter!
