Third time Lucky - Well built 240 - 120/110 V convertor
This is great. Been using for over 4 weeks. Have a load of about 200W on this and no problems. Also using with a surge protector. Have used a couple of different brands and sizes before and had a problem when connected to a surge protector. Be very careful when selecting the power. ie if you have a load of 200 W then go for 300w. If you have a load of 300 W then you probably need to go for the 500 w (or VA) version. A little large but really well built. I have tried smaller units but they seem to get very hot and burn out quickly. Not surprising really. Arrived quickly. I'm very happy with this unit.

Fab Adapter for imported sewing/embroidery machine
I bought this adapter on recommendation from a friend after I imported the Brother SE400 from the USA. Yes it's bulky, but I wanted something that wasn't going to burn out on me. Some of the other adapters on the market looked very flimsy and I just didn't trust them. This adapter is sturdy and very heavy but does the job brilliantly! It doesn't overheat and my sewing machine gets a LOT of use!I ordered from Amazon at 2pm and it was with me at 8am the next day. I would recommend it.

It was of very poor quality. It worked for less than 6 months. When I requested for a repair or replacement service they offered to take a look at it if I couriered them this heavy transformer. It was an unreasonable and expensive option to offer the customer. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

SO BIG!
IT DOES THE JOB, ALRIGHT!NO PROBLEMS!ONLY, WITH IT BEING SUCH A LARGE HEAVY ITEM, YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO CONTAIN MORE THAN JUST THE ONE PLUS SOCKET!

It's heavy and gets warm but works great!
I've been using it for 1.5 years now with no problems. It gets a bit warm just running and I wonder how much electricity it uses on a regular basis but it handles a good range of power as we have a power bar connected to it with many different electronic appliances plugged in on a regular basis.

This is an excellent transformer, not suitable for taking on your travels as it is weighty. I have bought some items from the States and it powers them without any difficulty. the bonus of having an on and off switch and fuse on the front is brilliant.I haven't powered anything greater than 150 watts but it handles that quite easily.Not a problem for my applications but it does not convert the frequency, just the voltage.Highly recommended. If I buy more stuff from the staes I will certainly get another one.
