Having suction cups instead of screw onto the side of a counter or table would have been much easier to use.

Slices green beans at an angle but cut them up quick
I did like this gadget. I usually cut up green beans for my dogs by hand which takes forever. This device slices the green beans sideways at an angle which isn't quite what I wanted, but it was WAY faster than doing it by hand. You do need to put something rubber underneath the one top edge of the gadget, and underneath to keep it from moving when it's attached to the counter. It needs a decent ledge to screw the button onto the shelf. I can say it slices green beans fast and I went through enough that it was worth it. The only issue is that the green beans go everywhere! I was surprised by how fast it shredded them. It's an aluminum body and you can take off the handle and clean the plastic part inside with the three blades. You'll need to strategically place a plastic bag [bowl does NOT work] over the device and make sure the bag dips down so they go straight into the bag unless you want them to end up going all over. That's the only issue I found which was a bit challenging. I think it's because the blades are spinning so stuff goes all over. I now see why someone posted a picture of themselves attaching a bag. Over all, it will make my life easier since I need to be able to cut up green beans fast and hate spending too much time on it every week.

Works like a champ
My husband grew up using one of these back in the old country, when he grew the kind of beans they used it for we had to get one. He uses it and says it works very well.

Wouldn't recommend this product
I purchased this bean slicer because it looked similar to one my mother used to own for years. However this product is not as good. My mother's slicer securely stuck to the work surface with suction cups. This product clamps to a table, it slips and moves around. Also the blades tend to chew rather than slice.

Well made, solid metal body, but has a plastic rotary part that holds the knives.
I wanted a metal bean slicer, and the Westmark Rotary Bean Slicer seems to be the only one available in metal. It has a well-made, solid aluminum body, but I was disappointed to discover that the rotary part that holds the stainless-steel knives is plastic. Considering the high price, I did not expect a major part to be plastic. Still, it should perform and hold up well, so it's not a deal killer.

Bag to contain sliced green beans.
Hold down the top when rotating handle to stabilize unit. Used the clamp just to hold slicer in positionPlace empty bag that used to contain the green beans around output, retained with rubber band to catch the sliced green beans. Without the bag, the beans goes everywhere.
