My toddler loves Mickey so I was so excited to get this Disney junior train set. He’s newly 3 and also loves trains! Putting together the train set was not too hard, although the instructions could have been better, maybe if it was colored. The remote and train already came with battery but we had to shimmy it and add new batteries anyway because it wasn’t working. After we got it to work, it was fun. My 3yo played with it for an hour by himself. He didn’t even need the sound and remote. He liked the crane and the slide to load the cargo onto the train car. This doesn’t take too much space which is great. The tracks hold together well but I would definitely recommend it for 3 and over or a kid who doesn’t get frustrated easily and can maneuver it himself. I think this is a great novelty toy that well bring out in the play area in a rotation. You can build 2 different tracks and the roundhouse that switches tracks is pretty interesting. I see they tried to put in some fun features that an adult can appreciate.

If you have a child that loves Mickey you should buy this. My child had so much fun controlling the train back and forth with the little remote.

This would be the perfect train if it was functional - the set up directions are terrible. The turns always derail the train and the items set up for it to drive through de-rail the train -It is good used as a manual train on the tracks and an electric train on the floor.By the time we unwrapped it and put it together the box was in the dumpster so I can’t return it . Something I was looking forward to in order to help with independent play is now a constant will you fix it for me - can you help me.For the money - buy something else

My son loves this train set! It’s cute and has some beloved characters on it! The instructions for set up were slightly confusing and it occasionally derails but I know there will be many more years of play ahead of him with this set!

My toddlers were super excited to receive their train set and have non stop been playing with the toy for weeks now. The set up was easy and fun to make different patterns with and the train was working right out of the packaging. This is a great gift for others or a fun toy for the family!

The train set in itself is so cute and seems like it would be great quality. However, we won’t ever get to know much else because ours does not work. We opened this up and began putting it together with our 3 year old to discover the batteries had corroded inside the toy and there was even battery acid on the outside of the toy. Even after cleaning it up the best we could and replacing batteries, the toy would not work. Although he’s still able to physically push the train around the track to play with it, he’s still devastated that he cannot use the remote control.

Okay so this train set is cute … but here are the problems .. IT COMES WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS..after looking at the reviews here there’s many ways to put this thing together .. as you can see in my picture I have it all together , took hours to figure it out . It does get stuck and derails alot ! I think it gets stuck because it’s not put together how it’s suppose to be . An example the train only goes around under the station part and under the blue thing (which doesn’t even connect to anything) it doesn’t go anywhere else unless you physically move the train but then again it gets stuck . The voice over is cool , can hear it clearly .. My daughter is three so it’s ok for her , but I wouldn’t have bought these had I known of these issues .. Not worth the headache . I wouldn’t say this is good for a child over the age of 5…You can operate with or without controller … but the controller is useless when the train is constantly getting stuck or derailing … hopefully you read this review through before purchasing .
