Force and pressure are 2 different things. It produces up to 12 tons of force. The amount of pressure would be determined by the surface area where the force is applied; just divide 24,000 lbs. by the surface area. So if that was 4 sq. in., it would be (12 x 2000)/4 = 6,000 lbs./sq. in. If 1 sq. in., it would be 24,000 lbs./sq. in. If you actually meant force, then yes, it's 12 tons or 24,000 lbs.

Ronny Chopra is correct. The integrated unadjustable overload is set way too low. This jack, I bought 4 from HDepot, can not lift its 20 ton rating. I estimate half of that it can lift. My old 12 ton bottle jack can outlift this 20 ton jack, and it makes me very upset!!! I suppose the way round this is jack with multiple jacks to lift the weight that the one jack should lift. I know I did not get 4 bad jacks either.
