Funko Pop! Disney: Advent Calendar - Holiday

Great fun using this advent calendar over the holiday. The figures are beautiful, well-made, detailed. Disney fans will not be disappointed!

I’m a Disney fan so I got this for myself just for fun and I let my 2 1/2 year old Grandson help me set them up with me. He sat at the table for hours playing with them as I opened each day. So cute.

After seeing reviews complaining about duplicates and/or being to Mickey focused I was kind of hesitant to pick this up. Seeing as our plan was to have the kid open one each day, add hooks, and turn them into ornaments for the tree, I figured I'd be fine with duplicates and any assortment of characters as the kid couldn't care less. Each figure is individually wrapped in a opaque plastic bag so contents are hidden until you rip it open. I wanted him to be able to see the actual figure inside when he opens each door, so I removed all the plastic and put them back in the tray. As you can see from my photo, I did not received any duplicates, however there are lots of Mickey and Minnie figures, albeit all unique. Do note that some figures are not holiday themed. Could they have included more character variety? Sure. But again, knowing that before buying, its hard to see it as a negative about it since I expected it. At the time of purchase, each figure came out to $1.50, so for me that seems like a decent value considering what individual mini pop figures typically go for. Quality of each figure is typical of what I come to expect from Funko. All in all, I was happy with the end product and can't wait to put these up on the tree with my kid.TLDR; Look at the photo, buy it if you like the assortment of figures and think they are worth $1.50/each. If you don't like the mix, well, then this kit isn't for you and don't buy it.

My family and I had our first trip to Disney world this year so I thought this advent calendar would be a great way to keep the magic going. It's really cute. I'm a little indecisive on my thoughts about the characters though. Don't get me wrong they are all cute. The quality is great. I love that they're basically just miniature versions of the larger Funko Pops. I will say that the figures vary between holiday and non-holiday. I don't mind that not every single (24) figure is dressed for holiday or winter, but when I think about it, there are so many characters that could have been in the calendar and could have been holiday but weren't I start to think it was lacking a bit in this area. Also, there are a few repeats of Mickey and Minnie especially. When I think of the characters that could have been used instead, I find it lacking there too.Overall, it's a really cute advent calendar. And my kids enjoyed the surprise of opening up each day and honestly they didn't find anything wrong between the characters who were not holiday and those that were. If you or your children like Disney, I think you'll like this set a lot. For me personally, I wish the entire thing had consisted of characters that were in holiday / winter gear and that the variations of the figures was more robust.

Overall, the advent calendar is very cute. Don't mind replicated characters because they're still different - BUT we got two "regular" Plutos and two "regular" Minnie's instead of the pictures holiday Pooh. This was really disappointing because Pooh is my daughter's favorite, and it was one of the reasons we ordered. Also, Minnie and Daisy's legs (and Minnie's nose) broke off within seconds of opening.
