Quality Parts
Seem to be very well made and virtually identical to the OEM Units. They were well packaged in a suitable box and individual struts packed in bubble wrap. I was surprised that no instructions were included in the box but I logged on to Amazon looking for a link to instructions and found a well done, if generic, video that showed the installation process. The installation was simple and quickly accomplished. Time will tell how long they last.

One of two in the set broke during the first use after installation
I removed the old hood lift supports and installed the new ones on the day they arrived. When finished with the installation, I closed the hood and then reopened it. When I raised the hood, the rod separated from the upper ball connector on then lifter on the passenger side. I was lucky that I did not get any head or arm injuries from the hood crashing down. I returned these the same day I received them, and they are back at Amazon today . . . two days after dropping off at UPS. I am currently waiting for the full refund to my Amazon gift card account. Based on my experience, these are junk. I bought a new pair today at an auto parts retailer and installed them in less than five minutes. They were more costly, but did not break.

Perfect fit
Took less than 10 minutes to install these on my 1997 Ford Explorer XLT. I can't believe how much a difference they make. I have owned this car for 20 years and the originals were still on it and circling the drain. Now I'm not afraid to lean over the engine without a shovel holding the hood up.

Works!!
Fast shipping. Works fine on my 99 Ford Explorer XLT. No more having to worry about the hood crashing down on my husbands head!! I had the shop do it since I had a few other things that needed fixed so I don't know how easy it was to install.

Nice shocks!
Installed these on my 2000 explorer sport and they work great. I have used other brands that break soon after so I'm hoping these will last. No more broomstick
