A good avs product, looks good, easy to install

I've noticed that Amazon sometimes "groups" reviews for similar items together so to be crystal clear this review is for the "Auto Ventshade 25126 Bugflector II Smoke Hood Shield" purchased for my 2017 Ford Escape. It looks Great on my silver Escape, the smoke color is a perfect offset for the color!I was able to install it myself in about 15 minutes start to finish but I would recommend having another pair of hands to assist holding it in place while attaching it. Having another pair of hands to hold the hood steady would have made the job a bit easier while inserting the screws, trying to hold the Bug Deflector tight to the hood kept causing the hood to come off the bar that holds the hood opened.I noticed in a review for one similar to this that somebody was complaining about having to drill a bunch of holes in the Bug Deflector for the pins that hold the rubber gasket to the hood... that person obviously did NOT read the simple instructions provided! It's only necessary to remove & discard the (four) pins that hold the Bug Deflector to the hood

Easy to install and made well. On 2017 Escape it covers only the nose area of the hood.All good here. Thanks

4 stars because it was scratched from the plastic it was encased in and it would have been nice to have an extra screw fastener or 2 as one of them broke and we had to find a screw that would fit.It's easy to put on, just follow the directions. Sturdy material.

It IS really easy to install - four well-made clips, fits perfectly. Great directions, took 15 minutes tops. Well made, looks very nice, and seems very durable (time will tell!). Really enhances the look of the vehicle, and definitely will protect the paint on the highway!

Loved the Ventshade but it is to bad it didn't fit my 2018 Escape. The first 3 holes lined up but the last one wouldn't even come close even starting from the center working out and I was sent instructions in French and Spanish so that's where the internet helps out. Looked of high quality but seemed the arc wasn't quite tight enough Sorry so it's on it's way backReordered the Ventshade and was sent the correct one for a 2017/18 Escape and after numerous orders and returns have achieved success and was installed easily. The holes lined up perfectly fits like a glove

Good fit and love that it uses the existing factory holes. No drilling or sticking. It was a little hard to get the plastic fastener thru all the layers, but it worked.

Great looking product - the 4 holes lined up perfectly. The trick to installing for me was to be sure the deflector is BETWEEN the rubber seal and the hood (stated in the instructions by the way)......and to KEEP it pressed tight to the hood while inserting, and then screwing in the fastener to make it expand. Two of the holes had an open section of the underhood area next to them that enabled me to hold them together tightly. I was able to get all 4 in easily once I figured this out. It feels like it's attached firmly, yet can be removed when I buy that 2023 Escape :O)Product came boxed from the manufacturer, no bubble wrap with just some plastic over it. No marks on it, so no big deal. It looks factory on my 2018 Escape Titanium!

Not the cheapest but overall good value. Well packaged and delivered within only a few days. Installation more finicky than difficult but easily done within 10 or 15 minutes. Final install is sturdy and looks very good on my Ford Escape: looks like it is part of the car and integrates very well with the hood / front-end design. My only recommendation would be to include a few extra plastic installation grommets as they are small and easy to misplace.

All you need to do is remove 4 factory clips from the rubber seal under your hood as located in the instructions. Install deflector between the rubber and hood, if you feel the plastic screws don’t tighten too good add a couple self tapping screws like I didWorked perfectly and will not come off.Very happy with the look!

This bug reflector fits perfectly on my 2018 Ford Escape. The install was straightforward and didn't have any troubles. I would have liked to seen better mounting hardware, which was my only issue with the product.

Perfect fit

It was a little hard to install for some who has little mechanic experience and the instructions were not really complete.Other tan that once I got in to it the unit installed perfectly.
