Frite Sauce Classic, Fritessaus (Remia) 16.9 oz (500ml) (Pack of 2)

I have been over to Holland many times, especially Amsterdam over the decades and this is what they put on their French fries and many kinds of sandwiches including burgers. Now I am reviewing the classic sauce which is not spicy. It is well-known that the Dutch do not like ketchup. And neither do I. I have found my people. The classic sauce is kind of bland which is the way I like it. This company does make spicier sauces as well. You can find this brand in every grocery store in Holland. It has its own unique taste, which is I think what most people wonder about who have not tried it. It is less sharp than American or Irish mayonnaise, yet it does not taste like mustard. It has its own unique taste, but like I said it is very bland which is good for me as I do not like sharp or spicy sauces. Most of my friends who traveled from America to Holland and tried this sauce really liked it. It needs to be refrigerated after opening. It is a squeeze bottle so you can get the amount that you like for each serving. It also works very well as a dipping sauce. The reason I do not like ketchup is because it is just tomato sauce and salt. I have never liked it. This stuff just tastes better to me and clearly to the Dutch. Sometimes the Dutch call it mayonnaise, but it does not taste like mayonnaise to me. Like I said, far less sharp and slightly yellowish in color. I would just say: try out a bottle and see if you like it. It is not just for French fries, but works on anything.

Best Foods changed their mayo a while back to something terrible - and ever since I've been looking for a good mayo for my fries and other things I like to put mayo on. I have tried different brands with varying success rates, this one gets my personal approval. I like Fritesauce. It's not like the mayo you get in Holland, but as far as America goes, it's good enough.

This has been a favorite of mine since I was practically a baby. Love it! It is amazing with so many things- chicken, fries, potatoes….yummmm

This stuff is just plain awful. High in corn syrup and sugar it is shatteringly sweet. There is no acid component to balance all the sugar. It's like someone decided to take miracle whip and add a bunch of sugar.It's so bad, it went right into the trash after one small taste. I'll stick with using mayonnaise on my fries, this stuff is garbage.
