Regency Dresses for Women with Satin Sash Ruffled Puff Sleeve Empire Waist Dress Gown

Bought this dress as an experiment to see if i liked the style. It makes a good nightgown. Definitely should have bought a size down as the 2x is a bit bigger on me. That's what I'd normally get as I currently weigh 200 pounds and am 5'3. Definitely go a size down. The material is loose so it won't constrict you. Definitely big in the chest area.

I bought this dress to wear to the 20th anniversary screening of Pride and Prejudice. It was a last minute backup (thanks prime shipping) that I adored more than I thought I would!Pros:- The color is quite nice. Definitely olive green as pictured- The material is lightweight but not see thru. You can’t even tell I’m wearing black leggings underneath- The silhouette of this dress is very flattering- The versatility - you can dress it down or up with gloves and jewelry- The button closure in the back - no crappy/broken zippers and makes it feel more period accurateCons:- The sizing, especially in the chest area. My usual size is Small or Medium. I got a Small and honesty I could’ve used an Extra Small option. I could easily step into the dress with the buttons closed. The bust was too big; the shoulders and neckline kept slipping- The packaging. The dress comes vacuum formed, sitting like that for who knows how long. I had to steam this dress THREE TIMES. Yes you can wear it out of the bag, but it will be super wrinkly- The ribbon is not as thick as the picture and is also a bit wrinkled. I did like the ribbon color thoughFor reference I’m 4’11 and this dress could use a hem, but I wasn’t tripping over the skirt. If you can do some light alterations on this dress, especially for the sizing issue, go for it.Overall I give this dress 4/5 stars. The packaging is not really the fault of the dress, LOL. I saw someone use dye for the white version of this dress and I may just do that for a fun DIY project.

This was a great buy. I took the elastic out of the sleeves as they were a bit too tight on my large arms, and added some lace, but otherwise the dress fit fine! I received many compliments on it, and it was very comfortable. :). It was very wrinkled and took a while to iron out, but once ironed, it didn't wrinkle very easily. Love it!

Overall notes to keep in mind if buying: the lighter purple dress is sheer and can be seen through (other colors are not). The bust is more large bust friendly (anyone below a D cup proceed with caution). It is not friendly for people with narrow shoulders it will stay up due to the elastic in the sleeves but the top of the dress will keep trying to flop off.I ordered this dress in a small and medium for my friend and I to use for a Bridgerton event. We both usually wear medium, but I ordered both small and medium figuring I could always return one in exchange for another of the size that fit us both. Unfortunately, they didn't work for either of us. The small fit her everywhere bit the bust, the chest was huge on her. For myself the small fit fine in the bust, but wouldn't stay up in the shoulders. I was going to keep it until I realized the light purple fabric is see through! Anything under it other than a very pale pink I could see easily through the dress. The medium was green and wasn't see through, so I think its just the pale purple color. This could easily be solved with a pale colored slip. However, as I'd also have to have it altered to fit either of us I sadly had to return.

I wore this to a party. While I looked cute, I didn’t score a Bridgerton brother. I demand a refund.

I recieved so many compliments on this dress! I wore it for Princess, Prince day at the Headstart school I volunteer for! Material is soft…Highly recommend!

This dress is made of a pure polyester material, has a semi-stretchy waistband, and wrinkles very easily. I was unsure if the small would fit me as my waist is 29", but I was still able to get it on and off without any problems, so there is some flexibility in size. The puff sleeves work well and hold their shape, but a lot of ironing is required if you are wanting a streamlined princess look.The dress itself is very, very thin and does require an underskirt or petticoat to get it to flare out a bit as it does not flare on its own. The waistband is very high and comes just under the chest. A removable ribbon is included to tie on as a belt but it doesn't stay under the seam without adding safety pins and the buttons on the back of the dress are purely decorative. The dress is very long and stops just a little bit above the ankles (I am 5'7").For the price it is a decent dress. I got the yellow dress which is a little darker than standard table mustard. The ribbon that comes with the yellow dress is a camel type color which I found didn't compliment the yellow very well, but it is easy to replace with any ribbon of your choosing.

I’ve worn this dress twice now and love the material! I found my own ribbon though since the off white one provided I didn’t like. I also wish there were loops to keep the ribbon belt up, but oh well. Fits loosely so I’d size down. Still worth the purchase and good for dressing up Jane Austen style!
