It's really nice to finally have a rust free, easy to hook up mooring chain which will last virtually forever. No more worrying about my boat breaking away during storms due to chain or rope failure. And no more rust stains on my boat when I drag the mooring float up on deck to connect and disconnect. It was well worth the higher initial cost because it's a one-time-only expense.

I have multiple anchor rodes with chain at the anchors. This chain is well made and seems to be holding up very well in saltwater environments.

This is a beautiful chain and very well priced hence I gave it 5 stars. But I wish I'd known the spec rating on it before I bought - most windlasses require DIM 766, ISO G4 or ISO 4565 rated chain. This chain is wider across each link and longer so you risk tearing up the gypsy or other damage to the windlass if you try to run it through most available models. I can say from 1st hand experience it can be deadly on a Lewmar 1000.

The order came quickly and it is so shiny compared to my previous anchor chain. I look forward to not tearing up my gloves.

Any magnet should not be able to pick this chain up.. not as advertised in pictures. I believe what I was sent was galvanized coated. Missing the shackles that were also suppose to be included

Best price I could find on a decent length of chain and having the shackles included is a bonus. So far it's holding up to the saltwater with no rusting.
