Nekteck Car Jump Starter Automotive Battery Booster and 12000mAh Portable External Battery Charger for Vehicles, Motorcycle, Boats, Smartphone, with LED Flashlight and 12V Output 500A Peak Current

I bought this Nekteck Car Jump Starter Portable Power Bank External Battery Charger 500A Peak with 12000 mAh on 9/25/18 and on 12/7/18, it's still showing 100% battery.When I first got the device, I charged it completely, then used it to charge 2 android phones and 1 apple phone and it still had a charge. I then plugged in an android galaxy tab 3 to bring the battery to empty. I used both usb ports at the same time.I then plugged it in to charge with my usb in line meter and started to perform the test. On the 2nd picture, you can see that it's currently charging at 1.88 Amps at 5.04 Volts when it's empty. This reading was taken when it already had put 141 Mah into the car jumper battery. It stopped accepting a charge showing 10,667 Mah. Figuring you lose about 10% of the charge in heat/charging circuit inefficiency, that would be about 10,800 Mah which is pretty close to what I measured. This means the battery pack does have 12000 Mah as advertised.The unit is able to be charge multiple ways which makes it handy. If you jump your car, plug it in to your cigarette lighter to top off the charge you used.The case that came with it looks nice, but doesn't fit in the spare tire area. I had to remove everything from the case and lay it on the spare tire area. If you have a full size spare, this may fit, if not, plan on taking the items out unless you can find a spot for it somewhere else.This unit withstood 112+ degrees during the day in the trunk and 49 degrees at night in the garage and still kept 100% charge.I like that the unit comes with a light. This is essential if your battery dies somewhere where it's dark and you need to be able to see what color your battery terminals are to hook this up. Don't forget + or red to + and - or black to -, do not reverse it or short the two clamps with each other.I have not had to test this unit but as soon as I do, I will update the review with the before and after % charge on the display and if it was successful in starting the car. As of 12/7/2018, I give this unit 5 stars so far.Update 10/20/2019Got a chance to test the unit. My car wouldn't even engage the solenoid for the starter, that's how dead the battery was. Hooked it up to the Nekteck, still had over 80% charge, followed the instructions and voila, the car started like nothing happened. I cancelled my AAA call that still had an estimated wait time of over an hour for a jump.

First off - WOW. I'm glad I found this little product. It's a battery bank that charges cars as well as your tablet, phone, and whatever else needs charging. At the moment, my battery in my car hasn't been starting my car, so I bought the EverStart battery charger (Big Mistake) as that thing only gave me one charge and then a huge headache waiting for a tow truck guy to come charge me some two hours later literally on the side of the road (also because nobody had any jumper cables and mine were at home instead of in my car).So I bought the (N)Ever start at Walmart because thankfully my car first broke down in that parking lot. We decided to buy the one they recommended for $60 bucks and when I needed it to work, it only worked once (after letting it charge over night). So I decided I'm going to return the (N)Ever Start and went on Amazon to see what's available. I came across the NecTek Battery Car Jumper Kit and read the reviews.I decided for $50 bucks - why not? I bought it on Thursday and got it on Friday (WOW again). I charged it up like it says to and I stored it in my car. Today, when I was out and about - my car wouldn't start, so I got it out and used it - started right up! (Yay!) Drove it to auto-zone to test my battery, they said my battery is fine but my alternator is dying. Wasn't enough juice in my battery so I pulled out my NekTeck and started it again (Yay again!) - so I drove my Ford Escape to the Ford dealership and they said It's going to cost an arm and leg to replace the alternator, so I got my NekTeck to start me up one last time to drive me home (That's 3 times already!) and I'm at 86% power now. I made it home safe and will figure out the alternator situation later, but what I do have - is piece of mind. :-)One last thing... during the Spring and Summer, I like to take my Marina Inflatable raft out and in the past I've had to drag the stupid thing next to the car because the inflatable pump hooks up to the car lighter. The NekTeck has a plug in cigarette adapter that will allow me to be no where near the car next time I use the inflatable boat. I'm really excited about that.... again... all this for $50 bucks. WELL. WORTH. IT. :) <3

I was so impressed with the power and convenience of this battery charger that I bought one for each my two daughters and one for my nephew. My nephew has used his to jump the battery on his Zero Turn Riding Mower and other equipment in his lawn maintenance business.Nektek has saved me and my daughters several times from being stranded on the side of the road or in a dark parking lot with a dead battery! Although I have an AAA membership, I have not placed a service call in a long while because I can take care of a dead battery without calling them. Plus, it can sometimes take a long time to get a mechanic out to you when your battery goes dead With Nektek, I just grab it out of the back of my car, hook it to my battery and jump it and I'm on the road again within minutes.One day my daughter went to her garage to head out to pick up son from school only to find her SUV's battery was dead. She called AAA and was told someone could be there in about an hour, which was way too late as her son was getting out of school in 15 minutes. Then she remembered the Nektek I had given her for Mother's Day a few months earlier. Within minutes, she had her battery charged and was right on time to pick up her son.Nektek is small and compact, but it is very powerful and has cranked large SUVs and trucks, as well as sedans in my family. The unit holds a charge for months without recharging, so I just leave it in the back of my car- ready for the next time my car will not start. I highly recommend this unit for anyone, but especially for us ladies.

Superb product. After receiving I tried starting my car as battery power was fully discharged. It started my car within 20 seconds. And to check again next day I tried it got started. only 5% of power gets discharged after every use. After receiving the product I tried 3 times and it was successful.. this device even indicates the battery condition good or bad. Value for money. Thanks Amazon.

Started my 2 liter diesel engine after 5 months of inaction and a completely drained battery on first try! Impressed with the power, quality and ease of use. The battery recharges very quickly with wall charger. Brought peace of mind during COVID work from home when driving has become scant and cars are at risk of frequent battery drainage.

3 months dead battery started in 3 seconds. Charge the battery to 100% connect to car battery and press boost, start the engine. Awesome product. For my car(<1000cc) just 5% battery consumed to jump start.
