It's a Purolator. What do you expect?
I purchased two lower quality filters from another company (who actually makes some really good stuff, but not so much on this filter) and it was not a very solid fit on my FX50S. The engine on this car isn't very forgiving, and there was too much play between the filters and the air boxes. They rattled around. So I purchased two of these Purolators and it was like the VK50VE engine I fell in love with in the first place.The build quality is superb. The materials are top notch. And, from what I have seen, they create a very tight seal in the air boxes so debris has a far lesser chance of passing through. The media is very thick but it still allows all the air flow this thirsty engine calls for. I'll be sticking with this filter on my FX from now on. I've been using Purolator almost exclusively for many years now and I think I will just stick with them as my air filter of choice across my entire lineup of cars.
