It is not easy to replace
No fault of the manufacturer of the replacement part but, at least on my 2008 Polaris, the part is secured in a manner that is not easy to reach and, again on my machine, I needed special tools to remove and replace the securing devices which had torx heads rather than phillips heads. Since I bought the Ranger well after it was built by Polaris, whoever might have replaced the part subsequent to it being built and is not necessarily standard on all Rangers. Hope this helps.

STARTED SMOKING
Have only had this installed for 4 months and the Utv has only been used a handful of times. This rectifier started smoking. I would not recommend this to anyone. Could have caught my utv on fire in the middle of the woods. Seller would not refund OR replace. Buyer beware.

Overcharging Battery
Product was overcharging and causing dashboard to light up with battery signal and other. We broke down in the middle of nowhere and finally figured out the problem once we were towed in. Will have to buy one from the dealer.

This fixed my charging problem
My 2006 Polaris ranger would not charge this was the exact fit and now it charges perfectly.

solved my problem perfectly
Exactly what I needed, my Polaris ranger suffered for over a year, with a flashing battery light, jump starting, new battery, rough running, and not being able to use the headlights. The dealership couldn't figure out what was wrong, finally a random person on the trail said check the voltage regulator, the dealership wanted more than double the price of this one, plus a ton for installation, which took me 15 minutes. Now my machine starts every time, I get to use my headlights again, the tail lights are bright, I am so happy !

Delighted and not stranded
The Caltric Regulator Rectifier solved a long time problem with my battery discharging in my Ranger on our ranch. A new battery did not fix it. Running at higher rpm and other suggestions did not fix it. I was stranded several times with battery running down. I read online and decided to try this. It fixed the problem and saved me a lot of money. My Ranger is running better than it ever has. Very Satisfied Rancher.
