Hypertech 730123 Speedometer Calibrator

I had issues with the program you have to download and install to setup the device before you can connect it to the vehicle. The driver for the program simply would not work and the company just wanted me to swap the kit out, which I did twice. I ended up getting help from a Tacoma Tuner from a Toyota forum. Once we figured it out, the device works great on my 2019 Tacoma! Running 35” tires, my speedometer was off 7mph at 70, it’s now spot on, confirmed via GPS speed. I used the GPS speed setting in the program rather than the tire size, as tire sizing can be off (35” advertised tire once installed with weight is really like a 33.5” tire). Correcting the speedometer also corrects the mileage for your odometer and fuel mileage information, which is great!

This item definitely worked as advertised.I have a 2016 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD Sport with 3” lift and 285 65 R18 tires.I was able to accurately adjust speedometer and noticed slight improvement in performance and gas mileage. Gas mileage improvement likely due to speedometer adjustment and not from actual reduction in gas consumption. Shift points improved and have less of an issue with shifting in and out of overdrive at higher speeds. This product is definitely worth the price.

Great option. Went from 245/75r16's to 285/75r16's. Programmed the unit with those tire sizes, test drove it and noticed the gps was showing 44 mph and the dash was showing 45 mph. Fine-tune the programming with those values and now it's spot on. Took my mpg from 13 to 17 instantaneously 🤣. Couldn't be happier. Zero regrets.

I have 33" tires on my 2016 V6 4x4 Tacoma.The truck did not feel sluggish with the tires, however the speedometer was off my about 10% (less than my actual speed).This caused the shift points to be off, and gas mileage to be inconsistent.After installing this, there was a noticeable difference in drivability and it feels 100% stock now in terms transmission shifting smoother and at the correct times, and gas mileage improved. I get 19mpg average with a 33's and aftermarket bumper (not aerodynamic)

I'm using this on a third generation Tacoma. It works great. My only complaint is that it doesn't adjust what the cruise control reads. So the speedometer reads 60 and the cruise will say that it is set to 50.

Just received this. While preparing to follow the procedure I found that the wrong part was in the correct part number ordered. (see attached photo) I'm not sure if this was Amazon or Hypertech's mistake but it even appears another barcode sticker was placed over the original one. Picture is attached.I'm sure this works great and submitted for replacement. Update will be reviewed when the correct item comes in and tested.

Plug and play, easy setup and connection to tacoma, would recommend. I’m running 35’s & 5.29 gears, I put the gear part in on computer and when hooked up to truck was way off, I took out gear section and just did tire difference and dead on to gps mph.

Considering this is the ONLY option available to program the speedo on a third generation Tacoma I was a little skeptical, but once I figured out how to program it, the 10 minute install, and test against GPS, it did exactly what it's supposed to do. Excellent product!!
