3M Weld-Thru Coating II, 05917, Zinc Based Aerosol Coating, Resists Weld Spatter, 12.75 oz Net Wt/361 g

Used this to protect sheetmetal from rust on the inside of a body repair. I couldnt access the back side of the patch once it was welded in. This stuff is expensive but, it protects the metal during and after welding.

Used to treat flange welds. Good coverage and quick dry time. Bit steep on cost but, I wanted to do it right. 3M Automotive products are always great quality.

Useless, it bubbles out of the neck of the can and pours all over the floor. It didn't spray at all. The can is still full. Thanks for that, i don't appreciate wasting money.

This product was specified by the mfg of my aftermarket Jeep trackbar brackets as appropriate before welding them to the frame of the vehicle to prevent/reduce corrosion in areas that would be inaccessible once the parts were installed. Its not a cheap product at twenty bucks per can. The coating is said to consist of 97% metallic zinc like "cold galvanizing" products I've used in the past from the likes of Rust- Oleum. Unlike those, however, this product doesn't easily rub off. The coating is more like primer in its persistent adhesion to the sprayed surface. I like that. I applied red rust primer and a coat of the new fast drying Rust Oleum to the finished welds. Time will tell how everything holds up to road salt, moisture and abrasion.

used to cover metal parts that would not be able to paint after welding, keeps rust away, welds thru just fine, was able to wipe away weld spatter, of which there was plenty from using HF flux core welder, welds holding just fine

decent product- 2x the price of the other brands for a reason.

Worked well. Pricey but worth investing in since it should keep things from dusting a bit longer than without it.

This product is terrible. I have never written a review on anything on Amazon, but how bad this product is, made me write one. First off the spray nozzle is terrible as many other have said, but the worst part is how it welds. It doesn't weld through as it should, it causes the weld to bubble up and become hollow. It was completely useless and I spent most of my time grinding and filling the voids that it caused. I would think a product of this price made by such a reputable brand would be better.
