After owning many HP machines, and spending so much time (and money) searching for the 2 line wire, I have to say that this is the best and probably cheapest option! Just use your existing phone wire, plug this into the machine and your phone wire itself and you're done!

I just bought a new HP all in one printer, a 4 in 1. The fax didn't work because my house phone lines are all '4 wire'. HP's fax printers only work with '2 wire' phone lines. They give you a 2 wire phone line with the purchase. But, if you have a 4 wire system, they say you can buy a 2 wire adaptor and the fax will work. They don't give you a 2 wire adaptor with the purchase. So, I bought the 2 wire adaptor and it still doesn't work. So, I don't know who is a fault, HP for giving bad info. or that I bought a bad adaptor from an Amazon company, Diversity the Store. Frankly, I think Diversity might be a little shaky as they mailed me the adaptor in a 'BandAid box!!!

These work great - we ordered several for our business. However, we've had 1-2 out of 20 or so that stopped working and needed replacement.

This has worked as advertised. It saved me the cost of another phone line. It has served my purposes very well.

The adapter fixed the problem I was having with the fax line with my new HP All In One Printer. Hooks up easily to any regular phone cord. I wish HP would include this item with the printer. Most stores do not carry this item or the 2 cord wire. So if your HP fax cord that came with the printer is too short, this is what you need.

It arrived quickly and was just what we needed to solve our problem with our new VOIP phones and no budget to buy all new headsets.
