Q: Does this fit a nalgene 32oz water bottles in the side zipper pockets?

It easily fits my 40oz thermoflask

Q: is it comfortable for women?

As a woman who is also petite- I absolutely love this backpack! The straps are wide and cushy so they don’t ever feel like they are cutting into my shoulders.

Q: Can this be used for food shopping, my current bag fits 4 half gallons of milk, and little else, does this do the job, or can carhart recommend a bag.

I would say at least 3-4 gallons of milk not counting the smaller pockets.
