Q: will this add viscosity to oil?

Adding Molybdenum Disulfide to oil will not increase the viscosity appreciably but will greatly improve its lubricating properties, in addition the Moly will coat the metal surfaces. Be aware that the mesh size of any oil filter in the system must be suitable to allow the Moly particles to circulate. (Greater than 2 microns Pass through)

Q: Would this be a suitable coating for bullets (just the bullet) to be fired in rifle barrels? Will it corrode the barrel? Thank you.

FWIW I'm an avid reloader. Frankly it's so fine, I don't think it would adhere to the bullet. Having said that, relatively sure it would not chemically corrode a rifle barrel. However, I do not know if it would mechanically score a rifle barrel. Myself I wouldn't take the chance. Have been using "super coated" bullets with great success. 27,000 rounds and my pistol barrel still looks like new.
