Cheapest SATA card I could find that has internal SATA and eSATA ports
I am using this in my old Dell T110 II Server re-purposed as an Unraid NAS. It seems to work fine. Oddly, it is recognized by Unraid as a ASM1062 chipset. Physically the chip says ASM1061 printed on it, so I'm not sure which is right. As the description says, the card may have 4 ports total, however, only two can be active at a time. This is controlled via jumpers on the board. Out of the box (or rather, out of the static bag) they are configured to use the two internal SATA plugs. Since no manual is included, there is a small chart printed on the board describing how jumpers need to be set for a particular plug to be active. It's a little hard to decipher, so I'll try to explain:You will see two blocks of jumpers on the board:J8 J7 J6 J5 J4 J3 J2 J1Assuming the "top" of the card is the side with the internal SATA connectors: There are 3 pins per J# jumper column, Pin 1 is the lowest Pin, Pin 2 is the middle, Pin 3 is the top. The chart lists which pins to "jump" in order to activate it. So if you want to activate both eSATA ports (CON1 and CON2), then all 8 jumpers need to be set to jump pins 1-2. This will leave the internal SATA ports disabled.Myself, I have one internal SATA (CON3) and one eSATA (CON2) connector enabled which is:J8 J7 J6 J5, pins 1-2 jumpedJ4 J3 J2 J1, pins 2-3 jumpedTo enable only the 2 internal SATA ports (the factory setting), all 8 jumpers should be set as:J8 J7 J6 J5, pins 2-3 jumpedJ4 J3 J2 J1, pins 2-3 jumpedNote that you cannot have certain combinations of connectors active. Example CON1 and CON3 cannot be active at once since they use the same jumper block.

Update: Computer would not work normally
After installing the card, the computer would not boot or boot but all peripheral would not work only display work. Remove the card, the computer works again.Update: I have contacted the seller and he has gone out of his way to try to help me to get it to work. Although it was not successful to get it to work due to the booting issue, he has made his effort with many polite email replies and also offered to return the item. I am writing this update to let buyers know this is a trustworthy seller. He does not need to do all these extra to help me, especially I had purchased this item a couple months ago, but he did. Therefore, I change the rating to five stars for the seller.

WOW. This card was better than expected. Though no manual was included.
Just realized after I already installed it that these kinds of cards use jumpers to turn on and off ports. Out of the box it failed to detect my eSATA drive. Also there was NO manual so I had no assistance in activating the external ports. I took a guess from the faint labels on the board of the card and I was in luck. It fired right up after I set 4 jumpers to opposite of stock.

FOR ESATA - MOVE JUMPERS ON THE RIGHT SIDE TO DOWN
I like the size and the performance. I also like a choice of either ESATA or SATA3. I chose ESATA for a legacy Western Digital MY BOOK external drive.Good work guys ! Thanks Amazon and Xiwai !

Works perfect, added 4tb drive to an older system that only had sata2
I added this to an older system that had only sata2, the larger drives worked but were problematic with multiple drive access at the same time. This adapter now allows perfect function of the larger drives.
