Great snake catcher!!!
Had a problem with large black & rat snakes. Didn’t want to kill them but just catch and take to woods. This snake stick is great. Lightweight, long enough and holds the snake secure to put in can with lid to take to woods. Did spray some oil when received product to loosen both ends. Great product as advertised. You won’t be disappointed.

Well built snake catcher.
I caught rattlesnakes back in my twenties and this unit is better than anything we had. My only complaint is the locking mechanism is a little clumsy to use and mine didn’t lock at all until it was completely closed, which would crush the snake or cut it in half (which I do not want to do). I’ve temporarily adapted it with a Velcro bundling strip to slide up and down on the handle so it can “lock” the jaws where I want to. Otherwise, lightweight, sturdy and well built.

Don’t be Cocky!
So for practice I used the dog’s tail…and then I put on the snake boots…and I always carry on the job… but I am in pest control. But I have to remind my self I’m not hunting. Great tool and perfect length, weight, and ease of use. Get one!

easy to use but....
Snake tongs is easy to use but it doesn't work very well for small snakes ( diameter a little larger than a pencil)And you can't never be sure you're not going to hurt the snake....but maybe I need some practise ...

Comes in Handy
We live in the country. Snakes regularly go through our yard and we don't worry about them. My adult son even dodges them when cutting the grass so he won't harm them. As a retired teacher who participated in wildlife programs with our sixth graders, I know just how important snakes are and I passed it on to my son. I'm proud of him.Our problem with snakes is inside the house. You see, our cat is an excellent hunter and he believes in bringing what he has captured into the house, ALIVE!! He may harm his prey, but he doesn't kill them. He has brought in four snakes, many mice, rabbits, birds, lizards, and butterflies. Therefore, this IC ICLOVER 52 Inch Aluminum Alloy Snake Tongs will come in very handy for handling snakes and other critters. Had I had this set of tongs in time, I could have reached the little bird in our window over our front door. Bless his heart, he finally died, trying to get out of that window. I had opened our doors for long periods of time, but he just wouldn't fly out.The tongs are lightweight, but I fear that a large snake would be pretty heavy on that long rod. They can lock into place so you won't be frightened of accidentally dropping a snake. The good thing is that they won't harm the snake, just hold him in place. I think it is great and I highly recommend it!

Extra length that makes it less nerve racking to move rattlers.
Photo on one foot tiles for scale.I seem to be the neighborhood snake mover, and I usually used a pair of those sort of grabbers meant for the elderly to get things off the ground. They just had suction cups at the end. This was fine for bull snakes, but it made me nervous when had to move a rattler. These give me that extra length that makes it less nerve racking and the grabber on the end holds them more securely. I went out and practiced on a bull snake that has been sunning himself in the garden, he was not amused but tolerated it. The pole itself is light, but the snake at the end does make it a little heavy. It does lock in place which is another advantage over my generic grabbers. You can use this to pick up other things as well although because of the design it does not do as well with some items (small thin things)

Long reach
This is a set of reptile grabbers with a long reach. The device is all metal, with a tube that measures 38” long. The grabber has a 4” wide space. It has textured sides to get a good grip on your critter. The handle is spring loaded and has a lock so that once your critter is in the jaws, you do not have to continue to hold the handle tightly. The handle has a tension screw that can be tightened if necessary.I am very impressed with the easy action of this grabber. It gets a very good hold on whatever you are grabbing and makes it possible to carry the critter at a good distance. The grabber is very easy to use on inanimate objects as well. For instance, it works great as a no-stoop litter picker, a can grabber, etc. I’ve also used it for pulling in tall branches for fruit picking. I just with the grabber had a loop somewhere so that it could be hung for storage. Overall, this is a great reptile tool or all-around grabbing tool.

Works Great
These are simple, basic, light, safe and easy to use--and they work great. Every once in a while we see a snake crossing our mountain yard, and these are very effective. Just grab and use--easily lift the snake and carry it away from the house. Doesn't hurt the snake at all, but keeps you far enough away to avoid getting bit. I have two of these, one for the front yard and the other for the back, and I keep them in easy to grab places. Excellent.
