Colourlock Faux leather protector - conditioner for artificial leather, leatherette, imitation leather (150 ml

I used the Colourlock Faux Leather Protector to treat a cream colored bonded-leather with pleather backing - before using the chair. I applied the product to a light colored lint-free cloth then, applied the cloth to the chair in a circular motion. Two applications and waited to a dry between each application.There was NO staining from this product on the chair and did use an inconspicuous test spot first.

I bought this product back in 2020 and it worked great. It was a creamy white solution (think toothpaste) and was easy to apply.The last two times I've bought in 2022 and recently in 2023, the solution was a translucent white and is a liquid suspension. I did shake the bottle properly before application.It's a sticky mess to apply, and sometimes the bottle explodes, squirting out fluid if you shake it too much. I think either they changed the formula, or the product is simply expired while sitting on Amazon's hot warehouses in the US (imported from Germany).

I bought this to protect faux leather purses from stains and dye transfers. This did nothing and had to be sent back. $30 of disappointment in a bottle. Luckily my Amodex came through to clean up the tragedy. Do not buy this if you're trying to protect your light colored leathers or vinyls from dye transfers or stains it will not work at all! If it didn't work for a purse it won't work for a couch. I'm trying out Star Brite Ultimate Vinyl Guard to see how it holds up. Same price, recommended to me by a Loungefly collector.

My recliner is made of faux leather and the material is starting to loosen and was at the stage before peeling. I bought this product to try to extend the life of the chair. I sprayed it on the cloth and wiped it gently over the chair. The result is that my chair peeled within 2 days. So instead of extending the life of the faux leather it sped up the process of aging.

Used on white and cream handbags first.

Excellent product for leatherette. Did wonders for some furniture that were starting to crease poorly.

I put only a 3* as I applied it to protect my white bar stools before they get stained . Time will tell. They say it acts also as a sealant and that was what I was looking for .

Didn't really do anything on creases except made the synthetic leather look dull.

May work for a different couch, sadly didn’t work for mine. I really wanted it to work...
