Excellent quality
Three years ago, I purchased a set of four five piece place settings in this Bernadotte pattern from Amazon. They came beautifully boxed and are very comfortables to hold in my hand. Being European, the spoons are a bit larger than US spoons, it does not really matter to me. These wash well and keep their luster. Very nicely weighted and feel good in my hand. Love them!

Buyer beware!
This is a wonderful pattern and wonderfully fabricated. However, I just ordered a 5-piece flatware set and the knife is not the same one pictured. Instead I received the large hollow knife. It has a much longer blade and shorter handle and overall is greater in length. The one pictured actually works better with the other flatware pieces.

They Will Get Noticed
If you're the type to have dinner parties, these will set you apart from the regular people with their regular forks and stuff. They look pretty wild. As a bonus, when asked about them, you can say they were in the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey."Basically, they work, which is all you can ask for cutlery. The tines on the fork are rather short, giving it an almost "spork-like" appearance. You won't be stabbing as much food as you usually might, though.

The ultimate in style, but a few practical downsides . . .
My husband and I recently decided to replace our stainless with this set. This flatware is super stylish and very unique. That is indisputable. But there are a few downsides I think people should consider before purchasing. First, the pieces are much smaller than feels "normal" for flatware -- the smaller spoon is basically a very small coffee spoon, and the small fork feels tiny. The "large" spoon is what I'd consider a normal size tea spoon. The pieces are also very narrow. With the forks, it feels a bit as if you are balancing food on the fork, rather than scooping it up. Second, the pieces seem to smudge much more easily that "shiny" cutlery. I think it's the matte finish, but even putting these pieces away from the dishwasher seems to leave them smudged. I am finding myself polishing them fairly often (basically wiping them with a paper towel), and my husband (who does not have this same attention to detail) is driving me a bit crazy by putting away flatware that looks dirty to me. I still like these, and think I'd probably purchase them again, but might have looked around a bit more in view of these issues.Update a month or so later: I have downgraded my rating to 2 stars because these pieces are really driving me crazy with their tendency to look smudged and dirty. They are also now appearing (after less than six months of use) very scratched and dinged. I think this is because of the matte surface, which highlights the smudging/scratching. I would not recommend these or buy them again. If you are considering them, I'd encourage you to buy one set first and then use it for a bit to see if you are having this issue. Seriously, i can't take these out of the drawer and just set the table -- I have to wipe each piece so it just appears acceptable. The style is definitely beautiful.

Beautiful, Well-Balanced Flatware
We bought these to replace an expensive set of Couzon flatware. The Couzon utensils were very large and heavy and they were so poorly balanced that when you carried them on a plate, they would fall on the floor. I bought one place setting of the Georg Jensen Copenhagen to try them out. They are beautifully balanced, light in your hand, and just the right size and shape. The matte finish (which I didn’t think I would like) doesn’t show fingerprints or scratches. It is really lovely. I bought service for ten and we are very happy with the set.

Distinctive and elegant.
Sure, this is expensive for stainless steel flatware. The matte finish, design and quality outshine any other stainless steel flatware. Really makes the table setting look classy.

A fine addition to your dining experience
Very nice set. From just the way it is packaged you can tell this is a high quality product. The futuristic art-deco look is sure to get plenty of compliments and create conversation at the table. The fact that this set was used in the movie 2001: A Space Oddysey is a way to impress your science fiction geek friends.
