Shown is a 2016 Nissan Frontier Modification.
Universal is the key: It's big to fit full size trucks but will need Modification for Mid size trucks. The attached photos show the finished work but not the full story.Get a 3/8-16 thread tap.Do yourself a big favor and get 8 ea. 3/8-16 x 2 1/4" full thread SS hex bolts for the bed mounting brackets. Toss the above pictured 3/8-16 sockethead allen bolts...They are not threaded properly and don't thread easily and difficult to install. Replace with the hexhead SS bolts. To make the rack look good for mid size trucks you want to cut down the four vertical posts and thread the cut ends. A 3/8-16 thread tap will work so you can then use the stock fasteners. Pictured are the remaining cut pieces after cutting to shorten the vertical posts.I wanted the rack to be just above the cab, otherwise it would stick up four inches taller looking out of place and like a farm work truck. The rack is very sturdy and looks great when properly modified. I used a compound miter saw to cut the aluminum. With the correct blade it's easy and safe to cut.

Not Drilling holes was important to me .. Universal fit for Full Size trucks without bed rails
I have used TracRac on three different full size trucks for work and recreation. I have relied on its durability for years.Currently installed on a 2014 Toyota Tundra TSS without bed rails. Installation took about an hour. Very impressed with the quality of the aluminum. Not having to drill holes was important to me and these clamps are stout. I needed a unit that could be removed easily. Carries ladders, kayaks and lumber with ease. Minimal wind noise/vibration.NOTE: THULE has bought TracRac, finding this exact system for under $699 will be hard to find in the future.SEARCH : Thule TracRac TracOne Truck Rack ...same set up/design, different stickers double+ the Price!! So I guess when old TracRac inventory is gone that's it.

Looks Very Nice on Truck. But Included Plastic Load Stops Are Too Cheap to Trust
I needed a lightweight extension ladder for my side business. I figured this rack would be great for carrying a ladder like that. To install it, I needed a 7/32" Allen socket, a rubber mallet and a torque wrench capable of accurately working at only 10 foot-pounds. I also needed a smaller Allen wrench for the rail end cap bolts. I don't remember the size, but it's much more common than 7/32". Installation took about 2 hours. If I needed to install one again, I figure I could easily get that down to 1 hour.My only issue is that while the rack itself seems very sturdy and well-made, the plastic load stops that it come with the rack have plastic threads in them. So I would not trust them as my only tie-down points. I noticed how cheap they looked in the stock photos, I so ordered some $70 Thule Aero load stops when I ordered the rack. Sadly, those do not fit the rails on this TracRac even though they are made by Thule and feature the same TracOne branding. The flanges on the Thule load stops and bolts are about an 1/8" too wide. I plan to grind the Thule load stop flanges thinner and use them anyway because the plastic ones just don't look like they can be trusted.Overall, this was a good purchase even when adding some better load stops. I just wish Thule had included some decent ones with the rack that actually fit it.

Solid - Excellent Strength
2017 Ram BigHornBought these racks for the purpose of carrying fishing poles and such when I hit the beach. The product came packaged nicely and the materials are impressive. It feels solid. I took my time putting the racks together, it didn't take long and can definitely be done single-handedly. After I put them together it is a less than 20 min install first time doing it.I only had one issue where one of the holes didn't line up perfectly (one of the holes to place the retention screw for an end cap). Not a huge issue, I just drilled out the hole one size bigger (making sure the diameter was smaller than the screw head) and I was on my way. Other than that the entire unit fit well and looks good on the truck.I placed a couple of Thule ski racks (hint: they work awesome to hold fishing poles) on top - now I have a clean system to cary my surf fishing poles. I have a trip coming up and am looking forward to putting them to a test. I have no doubt they are up to the task - I believe they are rated for 800+ lbs. If there are any issues, I'll be sure to come back - but just playing with them during the install - there won't be.***UPDATE*** Fresh back from the fishing trip - they worked like a champ! Very glad I got them!

Good sturdy rack!
Purchased this rack for a new vehicle I purchased. Wanted something simple but sturdy. This rack fit the bill. I intended this to be a temporary rack till I could get the rack I wanted to get. I needed something right away and could not wait for that one to become available. It was easy to install and mounted without any drilling or modifications needed to the vehicle. I am very happy with the rack and have changed my plans to keep and utilize it permanently. I only need to carry an extension ladder and have not loaded it with anything heavy beyond that. Looks good on the vehicle as well.It does affect the fuel efficiency of the vehicle but anything you put on any vehicle that interrupts air flow will do that. Rack is very light weight and does not subtract from load capacity. Increases cabin noise a little but also not an issue. It is very easy to install and take off, so when I don't need it for a period of time, I simply take it off and reinstall it when I need to. The assembly is aluminum and stainless steal, no rust or corrosion observed to date. Screws and bolts still firm and snug, no loosening or adjustments needed or observed.
