Excellent Product Utilizing Proven Technology
This product works extremely well. The technology used is Dupont Kevlar and this type of sealant technology has been used in industrial, military, agriculture, ATV/UTV and many other type of applications for a long time, it is a proven technology that simply works. The viscosity and specific distribution of the fibers shapes and sizes are different with this formulation in order to work for bicycle tires which have different volumes, flexibility, thicknesses, durometers etc. I am an automotive engineer and have extensive background in testing tires and other chassis and powertrain products and use this in my MTB and fat bike tires and have tested it extensively before I made the decision to change all my MTB's to it, it works and it works well for what it is intended to do. Sealant is only the first line of defense while riding, any rider going on long rides should also have backups regardless of which type/brand of sealant they use as I have seen latex sealants fail miserably far too many times and leave riders stranded. I also carry Dynaplugs and ultralight tubes in the tool bags of all MTB's in the event one or the other doesn't work, did the same thing when I was running latex and on some extreme rides it's a good idea to carry one or two small 2 oz bottles of sealant, I buy the empty 2 oz bottles with the applicator spouts on line. An added benefit of the Finish Line is the valve stem hole does not seal up right away like happens with latex sealants and requires carrying a probe to break the seal to air up or down.I give credit to Finish Line for releasing this product instead of another latex based sealant which is a highly consumable product which generates regular repeat sales and revenue over and over again in short time periods so I can see why those involved in the regular repeat sales of latex based sealants probably won't like this product. There have been many hundreds of times over the years I've added sealant on each of the MTB's in my fleet only to see it's dried out in a short period of time, even shorter in hot summer months, which creates repeat purchases, repeat work for me, and added weight creep over a period of time of the most important part of the bike for weight, the rotating mass of the tire/wheel assembly.

Did anyone actually read the directions?
The majority of reviews here have been slamming this product and comparing it to other sealants without any details. So here is a real review of the product:I've been using this sealant for about a month without issue.I cleaned out my aging Stan's and decided to give this new sealant a chance. Once I got the tires cleaned and dried and mounted back on my rims, I first did a dry seat of the bead and removed a valve core and then used the Kom injector syringe to add the sealant.I'm using Maxxis 2.5 DHF and 2.35 DHRII tire combo here in SoCal. These are the Dual Compound version.Considering the size of the front tire I opted for using 5.5oz of Finish Line sealant. I then used 5oz in the rear. The bottle states 3-4oz for a 29er tire but if you do research, it says that's for your standard XC 2.3 tire. Plus size tires amounts aren't listed unless you Google search the QA with the product manager. I'm assuming Finish Line will update their site soon.Basically, given how much thicker this product is, you have to use more of it than you typically would with other sealants. It's not runny like Stan's. This has a lot of weight weinies up in arms.I've included pictures of the small punctures it has sealed for me without issue. (3 in the rear and 1 in front)I haven't run into clogged valve core like I did with Stan's.I also only lose like 1-2 psi per week of inactivity as compared to Stan's.Eco friendly and easy cleanup are wins for me. No more scraping dried sidewalls and beads. So far, it has been great for me. Will it last the life of the tire? Will it plug a bigger hole? I guess I will find out and update my review. My buddy also just converted to tubeless with this sealant as well, so perhaps he will write his own review. We put 4oz in his 2.35 27.5 tires. After reading so much negativity, I can't help but wonder if anyone actually read the directions or considered the size of their tires.

Works GREAT. No more dried up mess in tires!
I have to say I finally am able to enjoy running tubeless in my Evil Wreckoning MTB. ..I was so sick and tired of having to pick the dried up latex scab layers out of my tires every 4 months. No more of that with this Finishline stuff. ..I have seen some reviewers who say it doesn't work...??? I don't know what they are expecting from tubeless fluid but it's not meant to mend a 1 inch slash or big rips or tears. For what it is intended to mend, it does it and does it well. At most, you may need to add an extra two ounces to a big size 29er tire as compared to latex, as this is what I have been doing, and it works like a charm. I have already had it save me twice out on the trail from punctures. For big slashes, I carry a small role of gorilla tape and a small bottle of alcohol to clean the inner tire before I put the gorilla tape down. This stuff is a truly a game changer as it just rinses off the inner tire. No more needing to spend three hours picking and digging dried latex crap out of your inner tires!!!

My favorite sealant
Definitely my favorite sealant. It does not last the life of the third like the claimed when it came out, but I think it lasts all season if you put it in for the spring and replace it a year later. I recommend using the high side of what they suggest. It’s thicker maybe that’s why you need more of it. If you don’t use enough, you won’t get the bead to stop leaking. What the best part is, is that there is no dried out leftovers. I use it for that alone, wash out the tire and it’s all gone. The only left over is on the bead, which really meant it was doing its job. That comes off with scrubbing if you want it to.I’ve only had one puncture I know of in 3 years using it. It was a metal tack that stuck in the tire, and I never noticed until I saw it in the tire at home one day. It sealed it while the tack was in. Once I took the tack out though the tire would not seal again and had to become tubed. I can’t fault the sealant for that though. But it did the job when it counts.
