Q: Is this jacket water resistant?

I would say no. The outside is flannel and will absorb water. The lining is nylon and will repel some moisture so your skin may not get wet but the outer and quilt batting inner lining will absorb water.

Q: Exterior fabric weight?

Exterior fabric was, as I recall, a fairly heavy weight cotton flannel. I no longer have the shirt because the fabric shrank badly leaving the lining hanging down below.

Q: I am 5 9 165. i usually wear a medium. but saying order a size smaller, have a border chest. legendary size chart seems like a medium would fit?

Reviews from other Legendary customers have been saying that this shirt jacket runs a bit large, so definitely keep that in mind when looking at our size chart. I would also keep in mind that you might want to put layers underneath your shirt jacket. That little bit of extra room might be good if you order the size medium!
