The $45 is for the standalone tool, put an air fitting on it and you're ready to go. The $60 kit comes with an extra anvil.

I don’t know if it will punch out 16 penny nails. That’s over three inches and I dont think it’ll slip over the diameter either. I do know it works really well for pallet nails. Probably 6d and 8d. That’s what I use it for. The gun size is about the size of an 18gauge brad nailer; if that helps you.

Q: What's the difference between coupler plug and dap700 piston driver assembly? I need for hardwood flooring

I don't think it will work. The driver pin on this tool is larger than a 15 g brad nailer or a dedicated floor nailer. Holes will be harder to fill. it could also split the tounge on the boards. If you got more than 1-2 rooms buy floor nailer, it sets the correct angle every time. This tool is best for flush driving nails 1 at a time and removing old nails in salvage lumber.
