Good product just doesn’t have fractions!

A few weeks ago I bought a different brand that looked exactly like these. That one worked correctly so that when you turn it off, it actually turns off and the battery is preserved. I hoped to get the same thing with these - and the price for three of them was very low. But these do not turn off and run the battery down. I've had a few in the past (as well as digital calipers with the same electronics) and the batteries are always dead unless you remove the battery each time you use it.The way you can tell, after you turn the power off and the display goes out, slide the measuring piece back and forth and if the display wakes up and it is still calibrated to the same zero as it was previously set then you know it didn't actually turn off the power and only cut the display while still running down the battery.The ones that shut the battery off correctly will not wake up when you slide the measuring piece and will need to be zero'd in each time you turn it on.

Beware, this tool requires common sense, if you dont have any, dont buy this. For those complaning that it doesnt read in 32nds because "wErE iN aMeRiCa", majority of vehicles are foreign, we use MM here too dont be a tool. I use it everyday at work and it does the simple job its meant to do.

It feels cheap kind of like a McDonald’s toy. My biggest issue is something they did state but I didn’t realize how annoying it’d be; it doesn’t do 32nds. Along with that and it just feeling cheap, I just stick to my digital micrometer or regular depth gauge.

Works great when your shopping for a car and the dealer says bad tires are good.

They are not accurate. There is no way to correct the inaccuracy. They are repeatable though. The variation on my order was one tenth between one and the other two. The two closest were one one hundreth off on the same standard.

Great product except the battery covers come off easily and can be lost.

It would be more useful if it displayed in /32nds
