Nice appearance. & features
This laptop is just as I was needing....It looks new.... has the features I was looking forI've never owned a Dell so I'm curious to see how long it will last. My last refurbished laptop lasted 8 years.

Computers had issues straight out of the box
This is the second computer I bought from this company. The first was DOA and I returned. I assumed it was a fluke and ordered a second. The replacement computer booted up but a warning came up saying the battery wasn't a Dell battery and the computer would not charge. I really needed a computer so I bought another battery and replaced. It was quicker. When I opened the computer, the battery looked as if it had been tampered with. Someone used a screwdriver to pry it open and removed one of the cells. The new battery worked fine and the computer seems to be operating as expected. The company sends the computers out with a checklist to verify that it is in good working order. Both computers had a completed checklist saying everything was operational. Obviously, they pencil whip the paperwork to get them out the door. Avoid this computer unless you want to get very familiar with the return process or enjoy working on a computer that was supposed to arrive operational.

Great value for the price
Bought about 10 of these for my office with different configuration in terms of memory and storage space. Performs almost as well our new $1400+ laptops.

Avoid this Computer and Seller
TekRefurbs is selling computers that they know are defective. After you receive the unit they do everything possible to make the return difficult. I purchased this Dell laptop that arrived with a defective processor fan. This is a problem a seller of "refurbished" products would definitely know about before sending it. The replacement computer arrived with a defective battery. Again, this is something easily seen during inspection before selling. I know other people who had similar problems with TekRefurbs selling them broken computers. The comments on this seller are filled with people telling a similar story. This seller is engaged in an illegal scam, and Amazon should have them permanently banned from the platform.

Not working
Computer turned on and started an update. Worked fine for that and seemed like a great purchase. Today I went to turn it on and use it but it won’t come on. The power light just blinks and it’s been plugged in for over 20 hours. Now it’s just a brick.

Not sure what their definition of "renewed is"
This is not renewed as far as the cosmetic appearance of the laptop is concerned. I am a Dell-certified technician and I can honestly say, this does not meet my standards for refurbished quality. I know for a fact most of these came with 8GB of ram and non-solid state hard drives. Besides them upgrading the ram to 16GB and hard drive to an SSD, there hasn't been any additional cleaning or refurbishing done. They basically covered up all the scratches with a cheap vinyl wrap on the top lid cover and the touchpad of all things. You can't even use the touchpad effectively as they placed vinyl wrap over the touchpad. If I were refurbishing this, I would at least replace the palm rest, which includes the touchpad for a like-new experience. Most of the time the touchpad wears out and has a glazed look making it hard to drag your finger across the touchpad, how do they remedy this versus replacing it? They put a sticker over it! The hinges on the laptop were also very loose causing the screen to wobble, which could have been easily fixed by tightening the screws to the hinges by removing the bottom access cover. For the price of this being $400, it's not worth it. If this were $100 - $200 it would be a better deal as I would buy it and refurbish it myself. I didn't buy this to refurbish it myself as I thought this was going to be in like new condition. It turns out, it is just a beat-up laptop with cheap stickers covering up the scratches and worn-out touchpad, which already started to peel just from pulling the laptop out of the box. Do what I did and spend $300 more for a brand new more powerful laptop with a better warranty.
