Q: How did everyone get their dog to actually use this item? i’ve had no luck with the “fake grass” version, and am reluctant to waste more money. than

I bought this as a protective pad to place under an older, incontinent dog. It worked well in that capacity. He is no longer living, but I've used it to protect a wood floor where another dog kept spite urinating. It will begin to smell if there is more than 1 accident on it or the area is warm. I had a washing machine readily available, so that wasn't an issue. I don't believe it was intended for use as an indoor potty like some of the fake grass pads.

Q: How good is this for splash related events in one's bedroom ?

These are great, very absorbent and wash very well in warm water. Hang dry in about three hours

Q: Are dogs able to dig throu it?

No, they don't dig through it. We have them in a wire "corral" and they will pull the corners inside with them leaving areas of bare floor. I recommend getting at least 2 pads so you have one to change out when the other is soiled. I also add vinegar to the laundry to cut down on the odor

Hi, the top layer material is polar fleece, which is soft and comfortable, also provides cushion for pup parent and puppy to rest, sleep and play on.
